Haynes: “The Boston Celtics are fielding calls on the multitude of quality guards on their roster, sources tell B/R. With Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Malcolm Brogdon and Payton Pritchard all deserving of playing time, Boston is looking to create some position balance, sources say.”

Glad we can finally move away from “Assistant Coach” talk finally…

Other than White, I’d be fine overhauling the whole group if they could find the right trades. Swap one for a big and use the other two to get a more complete pg.

Odd that this was under the section where it talks about the Pacers and the #7 pick.

I wouldn’t suspect us going for the #7 pick, but the Pacers do have a good player at a position that would bring more balance to the roster.

multitude of quality guards, looking for positional balance

uses picture of a guard as the thumbnail

  5. I’m still racking my brain over Brogdon trades. I will be curious how Brad decides to balance the roster.

Something something, Pritchard’s probably gone but Brogdon’s expensive, yada yada, etc. etc.

I found it frustrating that we had such a deep team and then underutilized those players during the playoffs. If they do make trades, I sincerely hope the coaching staff reassess how, and when, they utilize all the talent sitting on the bench.

Y’all know the drill. If we’re hearing about it, Brad isn’t doing it lol

Unless a crazy offer, they better keep White.

Trading brogdon for a slasher wing and moving Derrick to the bench and going either two bigs or starting grant is ideal. Roster was lopsided this year and white has shown he can be the playmaker when Tatum or Marcus sit

Can the Celtics find a Time Machine and turn back the clock on big daddy Al to 2013. Literally the only thing that would bring #18 as the team is configured now.

Too dependent on wings creating offense. Zero post offense/ easy 2pt FG caught up with them last 2 post seasons.

Keep Smart and White, try to trade Brogdon to get a rotation big

My worry is that they move on from brogden who was crucial as sort of bailout score, or Derek White who probably was our third best player.

Marcus Smart and PP should be the only two guards being moved here. But sadly, I think Brad is far too loyal to Marcus

I’d love to see a package of Pritchard and Brogdon to get a player like Jokic. However, I’d settle for Sabonis or Jaren Jackson Jr. /s
