I think this is hilarious, because at this point with all these rumors, Presti is essentially announcing to the league “I can do ANYTHING!” Nobody seems to have any idea what the Thunder’s plans are.

So many different things are being reported about the Thunder. Meaning no one has a clue what Sam Presti is doing. Just how he likes it.

At this point, Sam Presti just tells agents “we’re looking at everything” and these people run with it lol. Love how mysterious he keeps everything.

Why this is plausible is because of the players. Outside of Hendricks and Walker I find practically everyone in the first round about the same level in talent or ability. So the most logical conclusion is to increase your draft capital in the future if you feel that way. Several teas want to trade up and trade into the first round. So what you do is trade pick 12, if you feel you can get someone comparable in the 20s and with your last pick trade it for a 25-30 draft pick in the first round. Regardless of what scenario the main focus of this year was to see what you had and find your main core. With a healthy team our top 10 is pretty stacked. Lindy, JRE, and Mann are the only ones that don’t seem to have a role yet. So it’s best to see what this core does and how these pieces can stick. If every 1st round pick was to convey next year it would be a total of Three spots that Lindy, Mann, and JRE would have to prove that they belong.

Edit: I feel that there are players that are above the others, but I think it’s because of my own biases. Example: I think Poziemski is one of the best guards in this draft, the problem is that I haven’t seen one analysis as to say why he shouldn’t be drafted higher. I wonder if I’m missing something

Fuck Jake Fischer but I don’t think trading the pick for a future first a little further down the road is out of the question.
