I don't think he goes back to the Spurs, if he even comes back to the NBA. It would be too awkward for him and his old teammates. He probably needs to be on a team that is mostly drama free though and has someone assigned to monitor him at all times.
I don't know how many chances the LORD has given me. everyone deserve a second chance.
Lots of dudes in the history of the NBA have done some shameful things. Much much much worse things. And look at the end of the day the parties settled. As a fan it still hurts what he did. We literally got ZERO for that pick. Even with Wemby it still hurts our process. How sweet would it have been be for him to be on the Spurs with some real potential and progress IF he wouldn't have F'd up. I think Toronto would take a flyer on the hometown kid or someone desperate for talent like the Wizards, Pacers, Bulls….. There is ZERO chance he comes back to Spurs because then its a scab the Spurs don't want to re-open. All the Questions about why the Spurs reacted so poorly to all the stories…… Nah man. We dont want those problems. Spurs management and coach DO NOT want those problems. I wish him luck. Sincerely. Still hurts. Such a shame.

I say it never happens. We have all that draft capital, and other assets where we don’t even need him. So, why even bother?
Only scenario where he comes back to the Spurs is, say maybe he voluntarily does take a step back, plays in the NBL for two years, shows some genuine remorse and restitution toward the Spurs organization. Even then, the timing and need would have to be right.
Or maybe 10 years from now, he is a completely different person, and comes full circle, after he’s played for three other NBA teams..
He definitely grew some more — looks like he still might have a spurt left in him —
