Even with the Zen Master whispering into his head.
Classic moment. MWP was a big part of that playoffs run.
And the reason Kobe wouldn’t pass it to him ended up happening, but he made the shot lol love that team.
He had a few terrible games against the Celtics. That shot really changed the perception and I’m glad he hit it because Kobe wasn’t scoring and we needed every point from the other guys.
Gasol getting revenge on KG for ‘08, Artest hitting that late 3 and the legendary press conference after, Kobe standing on the scorers table. My favorite championship for sure.
Damn 13 years goes like nothing
One of the greatest post game interviews of all time!

I was there in the 5 th row court side. That shot is in my memory forever.
I love Artest. He was such a grinder for us.
iconic moment in lakers history. throughout the series, fans were getting annoyed with artest for chucking 3s. so when kobe passed him that ball, everyone was like noooooooooYES
I remember that moment very vividly. Went from screaming “NOOOO!!!” When it went up to “ooooooooooohhhh!” and running around my house when it went in.
I love this man. He was way a head of his time for speaking about his mental health and therapy. His story arch for his basketball career is storybook like-villain to beloved. I was at one of his last Laker games when he got a few minutes and scored a couple times- the Staples Centers went crazy for him.
I can still hear all the “NOOOOOOOOOOOO’s” whenever Meta got the ball at the 3 during that series. Dude was ice cold from long range but came through and was clutch in gm7 when Kobe had a bad game.
NOOOOOOOOOO……….. WAIT WAIT YES!!! YES!!!!
Every time I hear this audio I expect Babyface Ray to start rapping now
I rewatched game 7 recently and noticed every Laker besides DFish and Metta was struggling to make shots. They made sure the Celtics didn’t get a huge lead on them.
Glad Kobe was able to notice that and adjust.

lol at that score. Back when teams had defense.
They don’t make defenders like Artest anymore. Dude put the fear of God in people when he’d lock up.
