People saying Scoot and Scottie will be a great combo not knowing Scoot cant shoot the 3 very well. So now you got two guys that need the ball to be effective. Fans do this every year with certain guys in the draft.
The Raptors have too many PF and not many talented guards, Fred is walking, Trent might leave too. We are in need of a talented guard that the organization can invest into and grow with it's not a fantasy it's the truth the Raptors have the lowest shooting percentage in the league. The NBA has a draft every year no one is really solidified on a roster, if the front office don't think they fit with the plan changes are made. Ain't nothing wrong with Young talent, that's how All Stars are made just like Pascal.

Siakam is a good player that's about it, Siakam is not a difference maker to me. Traiding Siakam for Scoot we are again going to that mentality guessing how Scoot is going to be as a player and we gonna keep guessing.

Not worth trading up for, the kid is good but his states don't lie! 17pts-1 rebound-7 assists…not a superstar or even a star! If we trade Spicy we better get back the same value!

I will agree with most people Pascal is not a true number 1 that being said i would trade every single Raptor except him if i was building a team. 6"9 can run the floor, good agility for any size let alone a 6"9 guy, post up and shoot from inside and outside, can rebound on both ends, plays defense and can guard multiple positions and is avg just under 25pts per game. The day Pascal gets real help the Raptors are in the finals.

I've been saying it, tik tok mindset, attention span is becoming a thing of the past… if I wasn't such a fan I'd want this to happen just for spite… 17.6/5.1/6.6 that's Scoots stats on a non winning Gleague ignite… if Siakam averaged that in the NBA we'd say he's trash… Scoot can be a "generational talent" for sure, but as it is now Ive seen Jeff Dowtin Jr outplay him when the 905 whooped the ignite.. I'd love for Rators to develop a guy like Scoot, but not at the expense of Siakam
Two years ago when the Raptors were truly in the draft lottery, they won the lottery in the right year (though I wanted them to land the 3rd spot).
This year, the Raptors are picking in another sweet spot. Notice the ages and collegiate experience among lottery-ranked prospects? Not the typical athlete the Raptors have gone for? Scottie Barnes was a much better prospect declaring from Florida State and he fit the Raptors' mould plus the new NBA era. Do we not expect Victor Webanyama to play as advertised (Gregg Popovich) but the other draft picks fall off and maybe the Raptors still get the best player anyway? @NBAChev , don't we have someone taller and better on the team already?
Honest question, if you think Portland should move off of dame( all nba, top 75 in his prime), because it’s clear top free agents won’t come to Portland to make them a contender, & that team just isn’t good enough to win it all.

What I don’t understand with fans is the hypocrisy, fans say were one of the best developmental teams if not the best in the NBA. Hypothetically speaking, if we were to move on from Siakam, who Ironically played in the G league as well because FO believed he can develop into a formidable piece one day which he has and he helped finished the job behind Kawhi but now that roster is not what is was in that playoff run, why not just appreciate what Pascal has done and look forward to the future. Question is why cant fan’s believe FO can do the same to help develop Scoot if we were to trade up and look towards the new era? Fans are getting too invested with players and have to remember this is a business at the end of the day. This team will do whats best for them and going younger and focusing on the younger core. Pascal helped and did his job same with Fred ….

We got a 6'9 shot creator with the mismatch every night who doesn't rely purely on his athleticism. most improved player, all star, dropped 33 in the finals, can gaurd 1-5, passes and rebounds. Doesn't have an ego that effects the team…. And you wanna trade him for who ?
People believe that if we give the 3rd pick the same development time as Siakam, then the 3rd pick would be better than Siakam in 7+ years.

Appreciate chev's take….reality is no one (star free agents) wants to come to Toronto Raptors and Toronto franchises have been burned many times with players leaving or wanting to leave. Pascal is in his prime, as much as it sucks to let him go, it's the only way to get a treasure trove of young players and draft picks. Until stars want to come to Toronto, there's nothing we can do but continue to develop players. So if we have the opportunity to trade and get in the top 3 in this year's deep draft, you do it.

I think if will be scoot plus other young talent though, maybe Shannon sharpe. We need more depth, I think trading one for 3 will be a good deal. Might not make us a champion this year but it will for years to come. I think your to high on siakim.

I agree completely. I have been having this discussion with several people and it is getting annoying. I work with teachers and I said to them if a teacher straight out of school came in would you give them the same respect as a teacher that has been here for eight years. Would they be able to handle the day-to-day stresses will they be able to understand what to do in many situations versus a teacher that has been in the schools and has had the worst kids the best kids has had the kids that were mistakenly misunderstood the kids with ADHD autism that were just on the Spectrum? And get those same features can't understand the irony and what they're actually saying when they say what they say. I honestly think we have lost the art of thinking Even in our school systems by the actual educators. That is why I'm glad we have Bobby and Masai ujiri that know how to deal with these situations. They called out the rest of the NBA for being copycats. Which I would consider calling them people who cannot think or use critical thinking.
