This is concerning news and I say that only because who’s tweeting it, Sean highkin retweeting it, and Sean highkin tweeting “Thursday will be a very big day in one direction or the other”

I think that pick is gone guys ngl. Haynes is a known Dame mouthpiece

  3. Filmfan88

If we dont get scoot and trade dame. Wow. Not feeling good

  4. FakeFan07

Dame has said Bam is his boy.. jimmy butler.. they were just right there.. fuck Miami like any other big time team, if Dame goes there we better get every pick in existence from them.

It’s gonna be some stressful days leading up to Thursday.

I’m honestly just ready for us to pick a direction and go with it.

We either make a big move and go all in with Dame

    Or

He moves on and we rebuild

Miami is doing damage control. Imagine being Pat Riley and you just lost out on Brad Beal to a package of Chris Paul and Shamet.

    Trade Scoot or trade Dame.

A Heat package would be interesting if Herro is moved to Orl and a lotto pick and filler are given back. Otherwise Herro and Simons on the same roster makes zero sense. Especially if Scoot is kept and Sharpe is trying to be the starting 2.

I still think POR could compete if Dame is given a real allstar/all nba costar but I don’t think the money will line up in a way to make this possible without locking the team into it for a long time and going passed the second apron makes further moves harder. Would have to 100% put belief in Dame to carry the squad with Siakam or whoever. We’ve seen Dame become a God in the playoffs so I think with a real team it could be something.

Otherwise would also have to deal with the fallout of having to then trade Nurk and/or sign and trade Grant who would want out if Dame is gone. I think all signs point to a draft day trade being made tbh. I don’t think the FO wants to trade Dame unless a haul is received and any Miami trade would be meh in return for the franchises best player who is still good

Miami doesn’t have enough to trade for Dame.

I would hope for Dame’s sake, that if he were to be traded to acquire a title, Miami would be the place to go.

Realistically, Portland is at a crossroads, and to expect the TB’s to get to title contention through the moves they make this year is unrealistic. The rest of the league realizes that as well. Take the pick and build from the bones of our youth program.

I wish Dame luck. I will always root for him.

Outside of Bam and Jimmy, I’m not that interested in anything Miami has to offer, and I don’t think either of those two are on the table.

The dame fan in me likes this idea because they 100% winning next year if this happens. But the Portland fan in me doesn’t like this idea one bit.

  13. Whodie666

MIA doesn’t have the assets to make a deal for a no trade clause wielding Beal let alone for Dame. If Dame asks out Portland will be accommodating but not THAT accommodating, I hope.

  14. Hopium perspective: This is Dame telling Brooklyn “just trade us Mikal, cause if I am traded, I’m going to Miami, not to you.”

  15. Ace12773

I mean that’s nice and all but Cronin & Co are not going to trade him just for the sake of trading him. No clue what kind of package Miami could put together that would make it worth it for us.

  16. Cooki3boy_

😂😂😂 ya Robinson + hero and all the picks in the world wouldn’t get this done. Miami has nothing for lillard

  17. terrordactylz

Kind of concerning that this is coming from Haynes. Also, even if Lillard were to ask out, what makes the Heat think they’d have a shot at getting him? We’re not going to give him away for nothing and other teams, such as the Nets, could put together a much better offer. I guess worst case, Lillard demands to be traded to only the Heat and no other team, but that seems unlikely.

  18. Fedge348

Trade Dame. We have a serious chance at having an amazing young core

  19. showtime_2k

To reply to the post: The ideal situation for me would be to draft Scoot Henderson to replace Lillard. Then, Miami trades like 4 first round picks (in the 2025-2029 range) for Lillard.

You also have to figure that IF Lillard did get traded, Miami would be a team he would want to go to. The team is going to try to do right by Lillard.

  20. sneakyjames13

A lot of overreaction on this suns trade. KD and Beal get hurt every year now. The Nuggets just won the ship with the best TEAM. It seems like it’s a different age in basketball. We have the assets to throw together a good, balanced team and be competitive

  21. Flimsy-Medium-5410

Haynes can be such a tool…like literally.

  22. upghr5187

Worth noting this is Haynes saying this. Dame’s buddy
