Bradley Beal has been traded from the Washington Wizards to the Phoenix Suns, and it is a DISASTER of a trade…

  1. If you're wondering about why there is no facecam…
I drive 12 hours to go on vacation today, 30 minutes after I parked the Beal trade dropped. I brought a mic with me and made this happen… if you can't tell already I have some THOUGHTS about this trade…

Normal schedule this week including a post draft recap Thursday night with this style… enjoy the week!

  2. People are really killing the new Wiz GM and are ignoring the no-trade clause aspect, Wiz had basically no control over this situation from the moment they handed out the contract

  3. You're underrating both the individual and combined playmaking ability of Beal, Booker and Durant, but I agree with the rest.

  4. At least the Wizards will have a good chance at #1 overall next year, the year after, and probably the year after that.

  5. It’s championship or bust for suns next year, but still their really defensively challenged. They need to look at the buyout market and get some defensive players

  6. I live in the DMV, this is a Washington franchise specialty. They always over pay for guys that are B to B+ players when they should just restart and stop being middle of the pact. Should have traded Wall a year before the injury and Beal 3 years ago!

  7. Thw Wizards had no control where he was going to go. Either they keep him or trade him to where he wanted to go. He said he was ok with both so the Wizards had ZERO leverage.

  8. I’ve wonder if Wizards fans exist. Now, I’m convinced. 😆

Joke aside. The Suns may have boosted up on Beal offensively. What will they do defensively? The Suns are terrible on that end right now. They will need to address that side of the ball this offseason.

As for the Wizards, they were long overdue for a major rebuild. They have stayed in mediocrity for far too long. The blame is in the Wizards front office for allowing it to happen. Beal got what he wanted. Phoenix got what they wanted. The Wizards got their salary relief and future second round picks down the road. Maybe this new Wizards front office can finally make some sense and determine what direction they can take their franchise for the future.

  9. I'm very interested to see the entire trade, but yes, what is initially reported is a massive L for Washington, even considering them getting off of Beal's horrendous rag of a contract. Third team for CP3 likely incoming should help the return, hopefully.

  10. yea getting Harden would have been alot better considering he was very good with 2 other stars around him in the little time on the Nets and in Philly with Maxey and Embiid.

  11. Just seen on indeed that the suns were offering me a bench position …10 mins per game

  12. I honestly think Washington isn't in a bad spot now with CP3. Beal doesn't affect the Wizards at all at this point, so the could do better just starting over.I do think they could have got more, but it looks like Washington is trying to Trust the Process for a few years

  13. The wizards messed up giving beal a no trade clause and so much money. I actually getting rid of him right now is very smart. There is no way they could get assets if they kept him on the roster. Atleast they can start a proper rebuild and clear cap space

  14. You forgot the whole reason that Beal’s value was basically zero. He is the only nba player with a no trade clause. So even if a team like the thunder wanted to give up major assets; if Beal didn’t want to go there he would veto the trade.

  15. For Phoenix this trade works only if if they can trade Deandre Ayton

  16. Iso ball all day. They do know the teams that win don’t play iso ball at least Washington got off that crazy contract that is what Washington wanted off the contract

  17. I think Beal forced his way to the Suns with his no-trade clause and probably in someway made the Wizard take back less asset. But the analysis is kinda spot on, adding a worse version of Booker doesn’t double your offensive capabilities, some one in this Big 3 will need to take a big step back, and that’s probably either Beal or KD. They are going to move Ayton and turn his money into a few role players and a rim protector, until we see the new full team it’s hard to judge this trade.

  18. I best trade in Washington history was required Chris Webber. The worst trade in Washington history was trading Chris Webber

  19. Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract. Part of which means he has full say in where he is traded to. Therefore I don't think other teams with better offers ever stood a chance

  20. Phoenix just resorting to type — shoot, shoot, shoot, and shoot some more. Defense WHAAA?

  21. KD, Booker, and Beal sounds great, but I don't see the fit. Book and Beal are both 2s..They play a similar style game, at that. That also pushes KD to the 4. They were better off investing in a player like Vanvleet to run the point

  22. The Miami heat Offered Kyle Lowery and Duncan and a first round pick for Beal and they took CP3 Shamet and a bunch of 2nd round picks?! Wtf bro

  23. I think KD moved to the 4 and they slide Beal into the 3. They need to find a facilitating pg. a guy that only knows how to pass and defend. No shooting needed

  24. Washington is getting out of purgatory which is valuable, they have a chance at a top 3 pick rather than late lottery

  25. At this point we might aswell give a try to get into the Phoenix Suns bench unit for 100k – 200k.

I guess the Suns are going to trade Ayton for 2 deffensive players 15-18M each because kd, booker and beal are great in the offense but they dont really play much deffense.

Another problem is who is going to get the ball ? Kd, Booker and Beal, none of them are a great passer, playmaker or even a offball players. All 3 of them need to get the ball as much as possible and Suns don't have any more picks for the future.

This 3 players injury history the las couple of years has been pretty bad. This really seems more like the Suns said "we are going to outscore everybody" type thing.

Nontheless, this off season is going to be pretty fun

  26. U r crazy for u act like cp3 a bum he makes his team around him better the only thing beal does better is scoring and the only reason for that is he was a 1st option on a bad team

  27. Here's the thing:

It's even worse for Phoenix. It just is. I say this as a CP3 fan who's been a Suns fan the last few years, for exactly the reasons you largely just said. The Suns have NO ball-handling. None. And Washington is now out from under the Beal contract, which is huge for them.

The Suns fans I know seem to think that Booker or Beal can play point, just because those guys are "capable of initiating offense". That's mostly accurate, but they can't stop from turning the ball over. And you said yourself. The Beal trade isn't a disaster because of what they didn't get, it's a disaster because of things that were already always going to be a factor.

The Wizards have been idiots leading up to this, and the Phoenix Suns are idiots now.

  28. While agree on you on many levels but they can build their team in the offseason. They can get defensive oriented players and shooters.

  29. PAT RILEY COOKING UP 3 MOVES WE DONT SEE RIGHT NOW

IF HE CALLED THE WIZARDS AND STRICTLY SAID WE WANT DAME MORE THAN BEAL 🤣

? WHO PLAYS PG FOR THE SUNS NOW BEAL OR BOOKER 🧐

  30. Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract, so it doesn’t matter if another team offered more, he could veto a trade to any team if he didn’t want to go there.

  31. I think this is a good trade for the Wizards cause the alternative is being mediocre again. Now they can finally start a proper tank

  32. My two main takes from this:

    01) These players have incredibly too much power these days. Demand trade here. Trade claus there. I'm not playing here, load management there. It's hurting the league. The owners need to take control back & soon

    02) The Suns have gone all-in on their trio of stars. These means Ayton is 100% getting shipped for multiple role players. They are going to need depth. Wonder if Dallas ships Maxi Kleber, Reggie Bullock, & JaVale McGee for Ayton? The Suns are going to want to divide his salary down to dependable vets for the postseason, another team might have a better trade option… but Dallas was interested in Ayton
