This is where having some random dude as GM hurts. If our CEO was Beals agents son we have Beal rn. Also hurts having our star be a shut in working out on Greece instead of meeting with Beal.
I doubt we were very interested either. He’s not better than Middleton, and even if he’s better talent-wise than Jrue (which is debatable), he’s been more injury prone.
Personally the most important thing imo is that CP3 is now almost certainly getting bought out for real, so we need to be on the phone with his agent. He’s a better style fit than Beal, should be cheap, and we offer a lot of benefits to extend his career.
So did we make a firm offer? Wonder if there some a animosity between our big three. If there wasn’t before, there might be now
