If they cant win a title nexts season then big changes are required
paying JB a supermax would be a mistake. Supermax is for top 10-15 players. After 6 years the guy has below average handle, to put it nicely, can't make intelligent passes or plays, is very average from 3, and below average from freethrow line. Nothing special as a defender. I don't get the benefit of having him on the team on a supermax or even below supermax. There are plenty of wings who can pass, make plays, have a higher basketball IQ, and shoot better.
It will be the exact same thing.

How important is homecourt for THIS team? How important is seeding? NOT important. They lose at home all the time in the playoffs. Lakers were 7th seed and got to the WCF without home court in 1st and 2nd rounds. Miami was the 8th seed and beat 1st, 4th, and 2nd seed. You cannot have these guys play at a high level all season and play hard every games and then have them turn it up further in the playoffs. Miami and LA took a large part of the season off. INSTEAD they should play the bench in the regular season more and build their confidence, even if it means you lose some more games. There is no point in trying to win more games than 57, because this team will just lose "homecourt" in the playoffs. Play the bench.
