I used to think he just tried to mask his ego, but he genuinely doesn’t have one. He just wants the Nuggets to win

He’s not humble, he just knows he’s great and doesn’t need the reassurance. I know the feeling. 😏

I remember KG talking about Duncan, and how he would say some mean shit to Timmy to try and break him, and HE would get genuinely mad that it never worked. I think he said, Timmy would score on him and just say “Sorry fella.”

One small thing that I think went unnoticed in the post-game was how Jokic immediately went over to the Heat bench and shook hands with/hugged every player. That was his first thought after winning. No shame in immediately celebrating like the rest of the guys did and maybe it just hadn’t hit Jokic yet that he won but that was kinda cool to watch

It’s pretty crazy too I only realised the nuggets won the championship like a week after game 5
The guy the ability to blackout all nba news for a week

Takes winning the finals like he just won a preseason game
ChokePaul3
He’s already ahead of KG all-time I’m afraid

Unpopular opinion:
Foreign players, in general, have MUCH less ego than US born players.

TBH if I was the nuggets I’d trade Jokic for KAT. KAT is a game changer and deserves to be on a championship caliber team, you can offload Jokic to MN

Fat and humble.

Yup.

I would trade Booker, KD and Beal for Jokic…. such a good player to watch and root for, he’s so down to earth and humble

Such a contrast to some Europeans winning an NBA title versus Lebron or MJ crying. I think Dirk’s first reaction when the Mavs won in 2011 was to head to the locker room to take a dump.

Jokic looked like he literally gave no fucks when they won. Obviously, he does care to some extent, but it feels like to him this is just a job that he happens to be really good at. Which makes it even more impressive that he’s still worked so hard to become this good when he seemingly doesn’t care much about it
