The reaction on the pod to your #6 pick with Dick was silly i thought.
This is almost a cant miss draft for the Magic with the two picks and the spots theyre in.
If we believe Paolo and Franz are a superstar and all-star and we like what our guard mix can give then we HAVE to get shooting and then Dick and Hawkins with the the 6 and 11 is great. But we can do things with the 6 like get secondary rim protection with Hendricks, a Wendell backup/alternative with Lively.
If theres a package to get Scoot you take it outside of giving up Paolo/Franz.
Or you figure to go for that 3rd potential all star with the 6 (Hawkins or Dick with the 11)
Why trade for shooters when this draft has Taylor Hendricks and Grady dick both good solid shooters. Why would you give up more assets for veterans who may not even be as good of shooters
I would feel better in trading up in draft for a young player rather than trading for any veteran. I want to keeo building in draft for the long term success of this franchise to be in the playoffs for many years. Not just one or two years.
