Looks like Portland is working on a trade as we speak with new Orleans. Portland prefers zion over Ingram for the 3rd pick. If that pick gets traded Dame is staying. 100%
Hmm at first I was upset like everyone else when the news broke out. But after sleeping on it and listening to Wes, I actually agree with him. Overpaying could be even more fatal than waiting and only going all in on a player worthy of all our assets(like dame). I doubt we’ll “run it back” but I think if we can make smaller but good trades. Use this year pick to get a good player and wait until the right deal comes up. Patience is key even though it can be agonizing. But the worst thing is going all in on a unworthy player and we’re left with no future desprite winning nothing
We need a 5, if we trade for Lillard we should bring in Nurkic and take their team option for Thybule and get Brooks from the Grizzlies, maybe get Seth Curry if he leaves the Nets.

At worst , we are going to run it back with no improvements like last season. This isn't bad , but Heat can activate Yurtseven and give Nikola Jovic more minutes . Giving Nikola more minutes is a good thing. He can score and facilitate. He can play the point forward like the Joker.

People, Herro is not good enough to be the centerpiece of trade for a star player, how much more evidence do you need to see. He couldn't get you KD, Mitchell and now even Beal. Washington didn't even ask for Herro
Why would Portland even want Herro when they already have Simons and Sharpe and want to draft Scoot Henderson or Brandon Miller, who all play the same positions
If Miami called me about a trade for Dame and I didn't hear the name Bam, If I'm Portland, I'm hanging up the phone instantly
If I'm wrong about Herro not being good enough to get a star player then why would Heat fans and Miami want to trade him anyway. He's under a lower paying contract and he's only 23 years old.
The best way for miami to improve is to find a way to turn Lowry & Oladipo's expiring contracts into filling needs and make 1 or 2 key lower paying veteran role player signings

Really feels like Portland is gonna pull the trigger on a trade for Zion. I think the relationship between Zion and NO is done. Even if it’s not this feels like that same situation where a player says this team and the Heat are my options and they outbid the Heat. Miami resigns Gabe/Strus and tries to develop Jovic. How that goes who knows but I hope they aren’t missing out on chances to get better.

KP sure do seem like he fix a lot of holes. Big man to stretch the floor , great rim protector, still relatively young (27). His problem was staying healthy but seems like that’s behind him now since putting on some muscle and being in better shape

Dame might be a pipe dream. Don’t even know if he is leaving. Too bad KP is not attainable because of the cap situation. He would have been ideal. What about demar derozen. He is a scorer. Then try like hell to get a solid 4. Maybe can reddish or Dillon Brooks a try. Hopefully Jovic develops.
