If only they also add a “his shot has improved and we feel he can be a good shooter in the NBA” my expectations will be tempered.
Still much prefer him over anyone but Scoot and Wemby (neither of which will drop to 4)

I feel like we will be picking him or Miller. I think either will be a good choice. Amen has such high potential and seems like a great kid and hard worker. His only knock is his shooting, which does concern me, but he’s a great passer and an absolute freak athlete who is great on defense. But Miller fits the modern NBA well as a 3 and D type player. My biggest concern with him isn’t his play. it’s his off the field issues. Thompson is my preferred player, but either would be good. I mostly just don’t want Whitmore.

Just so hard to evaluate when he’s playing AAU ball against a league mostly younger than him.
Another thing almost nobody talks about is how overrated elite athleticism really is. so many of the games best players aren’t freak athletes at all. How many elite athletes were on the floor in the finals? Aaron Gordon, and???? Bam is next closest, but that’s a stretch. Some of the greats are elite athletes , but so much more goes into this sport than jumping and wingspan. For every lebron (freak) you get two of joker and curry (not freaks).
I’m convinced the Rockets keep leaking the Amen hype on purpose… the ol bait & switch technique🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
