{Adam Himmelsbach} The Celtics do not intend to trade Jaylen Brown and all signs continue to point toward Brown signing a five-year, $295 million super-max extension with Boston, also plan to match any grant offers
New: The Celtics continue to explore trades that would reduce their backcourt logjam and have received multiple inquiries about sign-and-trade possibilities involving Grant Williams. Some more here:https://t.co/R78cQT7kdr

Would be super happy if they manage to retain grant amazing trade asset and potential starter at the 4 if they bring Al off the bench
It’s a lot of money but not my money.
It might be difficult to trade that brown contract if things go south, but it’s way better than letting him walk for nothing.
Running it back is not the worst move. We haven’t had continuity with coaching, but now we could have serious player continuity
Lmao resigning Grant. What a joke. This team is gonna come up short again after a “run it back” season. Absolute joke
This is the right move
Makes sense to give the super max to a guy who can’t dribble and has such slippery butterfingers he can’t water a plant without injuring himself.
the reason why you keep running it back is because it’s gonna be the most satisfying W of all time when they finally break through together
I really think the only 2 trade candidates are Brogdon and filler (includes PP).
That is not at all what the tweet says. Can you share the key points from the article?
Cmon Brad please go get #3 with JB
This is Brad’s Super Bowl. If he nails this decision, which we’ll only know of in hindsight looking back 5 years from now, he will be celebrated as a top GM in the league.
If JB fails to pan out and we dont even win 1 chip thanks to repeat performances, the haters have all the evidence to say they knew all along lol.
so like we still need a reliable back up big and possibly a wing. if we’re not doing a sign and trade and grant and brogdon and pritchard seem to be the only pieces that we will trade, who can we even realistically get?
I will be *fascinated* to see what offers Grant gets.
Someone eli5 how the negotiations for extensions go? ie. Why can’t we just offer him something in the neighborhood of a regular max extension, ehich is probably more in line with his real worth, and because he’s not allowed to negotiate with anyone else for another year, and they won’t even be allowed to pay him more than a regular max when he does. Am I correct in all that?
The amount of Grant Williams and Jaylen Brown hate in this sub is too goddamn high.
Go be fucking Philly fans or something.
