Why was Beal priority to begin with over Dame?

Why would Porzingis opt-in to get traded? That makes no sense to me.
Why not opt-out and become a free agent where a team like Detroit or Houston would throw near max money at him?

I don't think any team should build their entire team planning for Jokic. Obviously you may run into him, but like don't plan to stop the unstoppable because its not gonna work anyhow. Plan around his obvious unstoppableness, like figure out where you can damage Jokic when you're on offense is your best chance to somewhat equal his production

Beal had no trade clause. Basically Miami could have offered anything, but at the end Beal got to pick his team. The trade package didn't really matter.
Heat add Dame and Brook Lopez and they'll be their own dynasty.
Cant believe lowe harps on the no trade clause so much when Dame can just tell a team he wont play for them or make it difficult.
Portland front office have to be on drugs. I mean what player can they trade the third pick for and think they can win. Even if I say Jaylen Brown. Will Brown and Dame be enough to make some noise in the West. Even if Portland had the first pick I would still trade Dame.

Miami didn't decide not to trade for Beal. Beal used his NTC and "he chose" to be traded to Phoenix instead of Miami.

These guy's are under valuing Lillard because he's from a small market, If they knew basketball they'd realize his value. Definitely a top 10 player and the clutchest player in the league

The Suns will surprise a lot of people defensive. They weren’t a bad defensive team last session. People see they couldn’t stop the Nuggets, but who could???
Bradley Beal no longer has to carry the offensive load, which leads to him being able to expend more energy on the defensive end. Beal is a more than capable defender. Booker has been a wildly underrated defender, and KD is an ELITE defender. People are assuming this team “has no defense” for no reason at all.
Also, Ayton clearly doesn’t have that dog in him, but he’s still easily one of the better centers in the league. The amount of people saying they have “no defense” is laughable

Miami should go for Pascal Siakam or Lauri Markkanen. Even Zach Lavine would be good. All three would be the first option for scoring. They would all get as many shots that they want.
