Celtics rumors: Is Jaylen Brown staying in Boston? The NBA All-Star had been in NBA Trade Rumors since the end of the Celtics season, but is eligible for a max extension with Boston. Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe is reporting that Brown is expected to sign an extension with the C’s this offseason and won’t get traded. Celtics Today host Will Scott reacts to the news and explains why it’s the right decision. Brown will likely be back, but what about Grant Williams? The former 1st round pick out of Tennessee is a restricted free agent and Boston has received inquires about a possible sign-and-trade.

Keeping JB in Boston is essential for the Cs. Whether he would want out somewhere down the line is something that the Cs will have to deal with when it happens. But I truly believe that winning changes everything and WHEN the Cs win the chip, that all goes away. The Cs simply have to make sure that they surround JB and JT with a roster that would make sure that they would have the most success. As for Grant Williams, I think the Cs would be better off to use him to get a legit big man like Wendell Carter or Myles Turner or the likes to be a future Al Horford replacement.
