As a Blazer fan I really hope we don’t trade for Zion and get Siakam instead. Most Blazers fans disagree with me. Zion is more talented no doubt, but Siakam is reliable. Obviously there would need to be a handshake agreement for an extension prior to the trade for me to do it.

Flood the media with as many bullshit articles as possible about rumours that seem to have a little bit of plausibility till no insider has any idea what is real or not, so they hold off on breaking any story to maintain credibility.
This then gives the FO all the time in the world to negotiate a deal and maintain their leverage.
It’s definitely frustrating prior to the deal, but afterwards it’s actually really funny seeing the reaction of all the insiders
