Man, now i'm stuck in between trading Ayton and keeping him. Before Beal, I was HEAVY on trading Ayton for literally any focused and hustling player you could get. Now, it's hard not to imagine Ayton as a 4th option. I still don't think he has that dog in him to compete every possession, but if Vogel really taps into Ayton, he could be such a special player on this team. Why can't his impact be that of Aaron Gordons? Different positions, but both early draft picks on bad teams who can make a difference defensively.
I'm leaning toward trading Ayton for depth, but also not against keeping him with this core at this point. Really all comes down to his will for greatness and desire to be great defensively.
Bradley Beal is injury prone and will not work for the suns.

No need to trade Ayton at this point. Doesn't make any sense. Wait until deadline. Worst case scenario, his value combined with the heightened trade market at that time gets us a similar or better return to what we can get now. Best case scenario, he turns into the GOAT under Vogel (or we can get a better return after more properly experiencing depth and fit issues – let's not forget its not just about Ayton, we gotta see how Point Book or Forward Beal works out!!)

im torn, I loved Ayton during the finals run and thought he was really going to turn into something. After this year and last however, he really made me question myself. I think I'm leaning towards trading him for some role players and maybe some dudes on vet mins. jock and bizzy have a special place in my heart and I think they will step up this year, but a dude like Steven Adams would make me feel much better down there in the paint.
