  1. Yea I don’t know where this Joker comparison came from recently. Let the kid grow organically.

  2. No matter how Scottie develops, we gotta support him to help him stay in a good mental space. Turning on him after bad games, and calling for him to be traded, isn't going to encourage or push him to being the best he can be. Constructive criticism is necessary, but don't confuse it with just ragging on him. We gotta tell him what he's messed up on instead of just telling him he's trash. That's what will help push him towards becoming the great player we all know he can become.

  3. The way you speak has been motivating my workouts. You understand what it takes to be great. Solitude, uncomfortable fire, consistency, expansion. There are so many distractions for young people in 2023. Scottie is a Leo, he loves being loved and he’s gonna be susceptible to the fanbase’s judgement. I hope he develops that mental toughness like pascal has.

  4. all the people demanding he pivots to full time PG better be ready for those growing pains.

  5. Pressure makes diamonds or bursts pipes…Scottie is a hard worker and I think he will be great at some point in his career. But sometimes great is not enough when the expectations are MVP / #1 option on a championship team. We’ll see how it goes!

  6. I just don't agree with the fact that Scottie isn't focusing on rebounding, we've won multiple games because of his offensive rebounding, and hes the best offensive rebounder on the team. Siakam and Poeltl are only leading him because of un-contentested defensive rebounds.

  7. People are always quick to see the success and yet ignore the steps it took to get there. Scottie is 21 years old. Jokic is 28. You know what Jokic was doing at 21? Bro was getting drafted 😂. The comparison is not even close to being there.

  8. I only compare barnes to Giddy. This team is built to beat denver like we did this season without nick one piece away kuzma.

  9. Keep it coming Chev. This needed to be said in order to combat Toxic Fandom. The same idiots that want to trade off Siakim for draft picks.

  10. I believe we allowed Nikola Jokić to be more than what he really is first of the man cannot jump the only reason why Nikola Jokić so dominant is because N are soft how many guys take a charge in games since Kyle Lowry? Nobody everybody talked about Nikola like he was playing by himself if Jamal Murray wasn’t just as good Denver wouldn’t win. Players are too anxious in today’s basketball the joker is slow if you play him one and one anticipate the fouls the charge it would frustrate him but people are playing the game like groupies they are fans they are there to wow. This is why people love Kobe game and Iversey because yes you maybe MJ but tonight you are my opponent. Guys are afraid to be physical can we remind them this is why 15-17 players on the team do whatever it takes to upset rattle the team. Did you know Raptors is one of the few team the Denver couldn’t beat mana umano. Because we played without wowing at players. I know raptors fans and players where sitting on their couch saying Denver? Shit we have their numbers.

  11. I’ve seen the recent vids of him getting reps on his three ball. I hope the emphasis is on making an open shot and not making shooting a core aspect of his game.

  12. This is probably your best video yet. This is why I think picks in the 11-15 range sometimes excel. Giannis and Kawhi were picks 15. Booker pick 13, Mitchell pick 13 and even Kobe pick 13. They had less pressure and expectations like these top picks have. Heck joker was a pick 41 and no one had any expectations of him. He grew under the radar. Scottie will grow organically and yes he should have fun doing it.

  13. If Scottie can't get to rebounds in a year we may have to trade him then. I want to see improvements asap. Yes, impatience is creeping in.

  14. If there's anything you can take away from the nuggets run is patience. Coach malone and joker have been there for 8 years working and improving. Imo Raptors have everything they need. Just need to be patient and get better year after year.

  15. #NBAChev Thank you for talking about Scottie. We need to let Scottie develop, as Masai said he is still a baby. Let the young man learn winning habits from his vet. Patience is required.. Let him enjoy and grow with the game of basketball he loves. Scottie only had one year of college and that was during covid he often said he wished he had the college fans experience.. So we are it for him..
It took MJ, Kobe, Lebron, Shaq , Duncan, Kawhi, Curry, years to become who they are today.. Look at the time it took for Joker, Murray, Giannis.. Man Butler,Tatum, Brown, Embiid still trying to get there…

Pascal experienced so much publicly and still developing in his 7years of NBA and only 12 years of playing basketball in his entire life. Scottie is way younger and still has been playing basketball longer that Pascal… lol

  16. I respect your fair and balanced assessment. Too many out here need to take off their custom made Scottie knee pads. Scottie stans Aka Pensari need to relax.

  17. Scottie has a higher ceiling then and can accomplish way more then Joker as far as athleticism goes but will he is the real question. I absolutely have no doubt he can be, but like you said, it requires work.

  18. I think the teams dysfunction, poor coaching and Fred shooting us out of Games was a bigger impact on his performance than anything he did not the court. I think we havnt seen him anywhere near peak yet.

  19. Outside of passing the basketball? You seriously think Scottie Barnes could ever pass to the level of one of the GOAT passers? The man just had one of the ALL TIME GREAT postseasons, already a top 20 player. Lets be fair to scottie, top 20 all time greats don't just come around all the time. Great vid though… spitting facts.

  20. Scottie doesn't have guard or shooting guard speed or athleticism he lacks the fluidy but what he does have is a strong body he can bang and grab rebounds should he really want to. He sees the floor well and has a good touch around the rim he's a good component on the team but has ways to go! I agree with Chev we need to chill and let him develop since he has ways to go!

  21. Ngl, I want to be careful of my criticism of the kid because of his mental and I want him to be a raptor for life but there’s been glimpses of greatness on and off the court that wants me to see him be better than the lapses he’s shown. Speed up the process if you will. I know it’s part of the learning process but that horizon looks so good man.. Like his ceiling is that game vs Denver when he was giving Jokic work, R1 vs philly before that heffer injured Scottie, and his career high vs the lakers. His floor is like Lamar Odom/Kenneth Faried/Montrezl if he just shows up, respectfully.. when he feels like being the man I wanna give him the reigns but he’s not consistent enough yet at what he’s good at. Idk when or how long it’ll take him to mature out of that "settling/playing with his food" stage but it’s a wrap for the league when that day comes
