    I have a friend who is a Rockets fan who just asked me about this but instead of “other assets” it was the 10 for 20+Kenyon Martin Jr.

    I like KJ Martin. That’s pretty much all we could want from them. Maybe a 2nd.

    I don’t see them trading Eason. They don’t have any vets on the wings or at center we could be after.

    I’m just going to fantasize and imagine that this means Tari Eason. I feel like I never hear him mentioned among the pieces people assume they want to build around. I’d love 20 & Eason for #10. Then take O-Max, Kris Murray, Leonard Miller, Noah Cowney, Cidy Sissoko, Rayan Rupert…could take a win now guy or a high upside guy, pretty hard to dissappoint me picking at #20 this year.

    This “article” looks like a blog from some guy that MAYBE has a friend or two around the league. He doesn’t have any merit pointing to him as a reputable source. I’m betting the Mavs and Rockets completed their due diligence to see if anything was there, just like we likely do with every team. He’s also a Rockets focused account so it makes sense to report on a clearly lopsided deal favoring the Rockets, as he’ll get more clicks from his desired audience.

    Everyone is assuming it would be for Rockets players, and that we don’t want Rockets players, and that’s all right.

    But what if it’s for a haul of picks? Dropping 10 to 20 for 2024 and 2026 FRP. Who says no? If they are really actually going for Harden, they will convince themselves that those will be late FRPs. I’m willing to take that bet.

    Rockets managed to fleece us in the Wood trade where got literally nothing of value back.
