Before anyone freaks out, this was completely expected and it would be negligent of Bruce to not do this.

  2. ruggnuget

Him leaving for his (by far) largest contract is expected. I hope he stays, I hope something gets figured out, but he deserves his bag.

  3. SinceWayBack1997

Will be a great addition for any team.

  4. inurheadinurhead

just to be clear, this is what he would do if he wanted the most denver can give him too. not that i actually think he’s coming back, but this move was happening regardless of if he leaves or not

  5. What’s the biggest contract we can possibly offer?

  6. NikolaiBullcry

This was always going to happen whether he decides to run it back or not. The Nuggets can still offer him a raise, albeit a small one, so him declining his option does not tell us anything about him returning or leaving.

😭😭😭 not surprising but still hurts

  8. Gold3nPhez

Great player but someone’s going to probably overpay and doubt nuggets will match it

  9. Jameski_25

Nobody should be mad at this, he deserves more and unfortunately we cannot offer him what he will get elsewhere.

  10. Olovnivojnik

because he’s signing that 7.8M contract!

Now offer him the maximum amount possible and hope he takes it!! Run it back!!

Edit: but if not it’s all cool BB, you deserve the biggest bag offered.

  13. Own-Marsupial-4448

He owes us nothing. Time to get that bag while it’s hot and ready for him!!!

  14. New_Wrongdoer_2586

He must have been drunk dammit

  15. kemmdogg

Correct me if I’m wrong but if he decides to take the 7.8 or whatever all he has to do is wait until the next season and we can give him approx 125% raise or so?

  16. kushlash16

He deserves that bag. Nobody increased their value more in the playoffs this year

  17. Ee_bagg

at least he helped deliver a Championship, unlike bitch ass Andre Iguodala.. fuck that guy

  18. Pokemon-salesman

Damn it he’s probably a Spur. It was fun while it lasted

  19. SpliffsnKicks

Y’all mfs were crazy if you thought Austin reeves was about to collect a 100 million dollar bag and BB was gonna take 7 lmao

  20. CitizenNaab

Good for Bruce. He’s earned this. If we lose him then so be it. It’s the same thing the Avs went through last year with Kadri. He’s earned this

  21. It’s the right decision

Really wish the league would add bird rights to any player that was on the roster for the entire season

    Forced his hand here

  22. NuggAvsBroncRock

Today was the deadline for him to opt out so this was to be expected

  23. looktheresafox

QUICK, GIVE HIM A STAKE IN CASA BONITA

  24. DirkolaJokictzki

Paging BroncoSquatch to tell me if re-signing Bruce constitutes using the mid-level exception or not.

  25. chingy1337

Best of luck to him. We should appreciate everything he did for us!

  26. Greenmtn82

7.9 million, and a case of Pacifico ought to get the jib done! Cheers!

  27. JewOrleans

Good thing we made that trade before the finals ended. Brilliant move by the nuggets and so happy for Bruce to get the bag. Of course I hope he stays but I also hope he and his family have generational wealth considering what kind of dude he seems to be.
