Honestly this is good news for the bulls we can see more of Dalen and now we have a full mid level exception to use and honestly I see Dalen being way better than djj but idk we haven’t seen a lot of Dalen yet I see Dalen becoming a Alex caruso being able to play the 1-2 and 3 but in Billy’s eyes he’s a Center with huge upside great energy and his driving and defense are solid

Makes TOTAL sense. Billy stopped rotating him into the lineup and settled for his same stale lineup. The bulls were hott when rotations were happening every 3-5 minutes. Billy sucks

I would have preferred to keep him over javontae green since green been injury prone lately. I liked djj, I just got tired of Billy Donovan playing him as backup center over Drummond. He should have got more playing time minutes as power forward.
Loved him on the Bulls but I just see this as an opportunity for something better. He wasn't used that much by BD anyway.
Hopefully they utilize the space purposefully and sign some decent pieces. Then we still don’t know if they will move demar to make some room to sign more talent as well.

Not suprised…He gets to see how much he can get from other teams who can possibly use him more than what we have been….There is still an option for the Bulls to resign him if his offers are subpar from other teams. And also, sometimes players and teams come to an agreement to not take the player option to re-adjust the contract to incorporate other signee's…Who knows which option this is
