Good trade for my Celtics! We'll miss Marcus on his good days, especially his defense (when he was good he was very good)…but they'll be a more consistent team now.
The Grizzlies will be a top 5 defense in the league. I wonder why did the Grizz get rid of Jones with Ja being out. Jones can hoop

They should trade Jalen brown and horford together for Anthony Davis with anybody else on the Lakers.with my opinion the bottom line is that it still starts with Tatum not brown with him building a team.

Memphis gets Marcus Smart for Jones and a couple of picks which is pretty decent. Porzingis goes to Boston now if he doesn’t pan out, you have 2 picks basically for smart and if the Grizzlies are a mess next year because of Ja Morants situation combined with Jones and Brooks out the door the pick could turn out decent. Both these teams benefit from this deal, the wizards might as well let Porzingis walk, this is next to no value for a guy who played 65 games last year and averaged roughly 25 and 10 7’3 and can hit perimeter shots. Like what are you thinking 🤔…?
Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon made this trade possible. The minutes at point guard for three top guys wasn’t enough. Brogdon, 6th man of the year, can now play more,

As a die hard Celtics fan, I’m a little pissed at how they traded Smart, but I do think that Porzingis can fill a great center role on the team.

Add the height they need, PnR threat and two man game. Horford take a needed step back. White is honestly a much more reliable PG. Plus 2 FRP? I Brad is a wizard.

They get their Brooks replacement and some leadership. Maybe great defensively on paper, but Ja, Smart and Bane is a short lineup. Smart and JJJ being 40% FG shooters isn’t the best either.

I know his contract was expiring but you got rid of Beal and Porzingus and didn’t get a single FRP from it?? Sheesh.
So basically the wizards got Tyus Jones, 2 expiring contracts for next year, and a 2nd round pick for Porzingas
And the Celtics got 2 first round picks for Marcus Smart and also in return got Porzingas
This is why the Wizards will be the worst team in the NBA

I get the Bradley Beal trade was tough to work out but this was terrible
Porzingas should have got the wizards the 2 first with Tyus Jones and one of the two expiring contracts from the Celtics

Brogdon has injury problems and Smart is the heart of the Celtics. This hurts. Who can distribute the basketball and remain healthy?
