Scal you are just crazy this morning, I do not know if its a lack of coffee or not,but its def something. I love derrick white but his one good year aint worth Smarts 9 with us. We are better when we have a defensive mind. Losing udoka was the first domino cuz thats when we lost that defensive mentality. I do agree we have some balance, but we have an entire frontcourt thats injury prone. yes you had to give up something to get a player like Porzingis, but this was far to much. Yea we got a 1st rd pick as well, but its pick 25. That late in the round I do not know if we can get the type of player we are going to need for depth now. Losing pritchard and grant and danillo like depth is going to be something that we need to address come start of free agency. Maybe Brad will find a way to fill it out, I hope that he does.

White was the 3rd best player on the Celtics this year Brogdon was the 4th before his injury ofc. Smart was option 5 on the Celtics this last year
Smart can't shoot and thinks he is the top dog and was holding the team back imo. The jays don't like smart and they wanted him gone.

As a non Celtics fan i did not even see Smart in playoffs this year even tho i watched games starting from Boston 76ers series..all i saw was brown, tatum, white and horford. I got to admit that smart was a part of Celtics DNA.. but.. i guess you got to sacrifice sometimes

KP and 2 first round picks for Smart & Muscala is pretty great for the Celtics
Ja morant needs a mentor and roll model and Marcus smart is that guy to do it grizzle’s see potential in using his I.Q and off court behavior to bring ja morants caliber UP after the 25 game suspension is up. It definitely works for them Marcus’s heart for basketball will challenge ja to be serious and better defensively and mentally. Celtics take a W with KP every one’s happy.
Heart and soul of the team is not a basketball position. Smart was one of the worst starting point guards last year statistically. We needed a big and had too many PGs. Now we can see what DWhite can really do, and we have a versatile big and a draft pick. I'm hoping we get a wing to back up Brown and Tatum. I think that was our biggest weakness last year. Losing Gallo was a big part of that. So now that he's gone, its extra important to get another wing. It hurts to see Smart go but we had to do something and this is a pretty good start.

nah these guys are overrated defenders, they couldnt Stop the Heat, Vincent, Martin, Butler.
