According to ESPN’s Zach Lowe, Portland is prepared to offer the third overall pick in Thursday’s draft along with guard Anfernee Simons for Brooklyn’s Mikal Bridges, but they the Nets are not willing to accept that deal.

Yeah I see why they didn’t accept. I woulda loved to land bridges though.

Do you guys think a Siakam deal gets done then or if the demand for #3 just not there if Scoot goes at #2?

  3. Cooki3boy_

Bruh wtf idgaf , the #3 alone is to much for him!

According to Zach Lowe Portland is prepared to offer the third overall pick + Anfernee Simons to any team for a borderline All Star Level player. No team is willing to accept that deal.

If that wasn’t enough, they could have added the #23 pick. If he’s the guy, do it.

I have been posting here and have said numerous times the Nets value him more than just his stats. The offer talent wise is fair (I would try to get another 1st out if it). I know it sounds crazy but I don’t know if they accept it even if you added in Sharpe (I would). I don’t think it’s posturing. They love the guy and Suns fans still do. If for some strange reason you were able to persuade the Nets to trade Bridges, I wouldn’t be surprised if they also would trade you a sign and traded Cam Johnson. They called them the twins for a reason. I think Nets would do them both a solid.

Pump the brakes lol. I listened to that podcast with Givony. He did mention it but it was more of a wonder asking Givony if the Nets were overvaluing Bridges. I don’t believe he confirmed at all that we for sure offered that deal and it was rebuffed.

Ant + 3, especially if Scoot’s available, is an overpay. They will be kicking themselves in a few years.

  9. SonofNamek

Makes sense. They want to get Dame, not trade Bridges.

I think teams will want to wait for Dame to get frustrated and demand out so they can try to fleece Portland.

  10. JoeCroninAlt

Overpay. I’m glad they rejected it.

Good. Mikal has become so overrated because of a small sample size where the Nets went 12-15. I’d only be ok with this deal if Claxton was also included.

  12. joeiscool101

Good. I don’t want bridges if it costs that much. People are forgetting how good Simons is

  13. xBedbug

Were gonna end up with zach Lavin for #3 +ant. 😢

  14. BrklynDragon

He is not a championship level 2. Of all our targets bridges is my least favorite

So both teams are fucking stupid. We are offering a massive overpay and the nets are too stupid to take it for some reason.

  16. eh_Im_Not_Impressed

Dame should at least know that we’re trying.

  17. JarenAnd

Good. That’s an overpay. The only thing that makes it near value is his contract. Glad they overvalue him.

  18. Ginoblee

Portland letting this out to absolve them when fans get upset they didn’t get a deal done. I get that for sure. I’m sure they had this convo with Dame.

  19. queeromarlittle

Thank god, saving us from ourselves

  20. Background_Action_92

I have a feeling that Miami is gonna get Dame and portland aint getting nothung in return

  21. Witty-Version-713

I wonder if the front office was hoping for this outcome for appearance wise to Dame biit be able to keep the pick

  22. You guys are delusional thinking you can get Clax, and your fanbase is full of absolute morons who don’t understand what an absolute killer contract Mikal is on. 20 mil is nothing in today’s NBA, rookies are getting 10 so try and do the math, he’s a superior player to Grant who you are about to pay 150/5 or 30per. Having said that I think we should take #3 and Simons but only if we get Scoot, Miller doesn’t do it for me.

  23. Gritty_gutty

I will join the chorus of people saying thank God the Nets and Clippers and everyone else are apparently rejecting our overpays.

  24. DragonNikana

Number 3 plus Anf is too much for Mikal

  25. Naive_Negotiation_90

Trade Dame and get plenty of draft picks, players.
