@Toronto Raptors

There’s growing sentiment Toronto star Pascal Siakam — who’s on an expiring deal — would not re-sign with a team who attempts to trade for him as his preference is to remain with the Raptors, sources tell @NBAonTNT , @BleacherReport .

  2. Konfliction

  3. Annual_Sprinkles1129

I just fell to my knees at costco…

  4. sadrapsfan

Dude wants to stay… Gotta respect that

  5. Oh wtf Pascal, on one hand this is awesome he only wants to stay with us. But on the other hand this is awful that he only wants to stay with us.

  6. A player finally wants to stay with the Raptors and its going to end up damaging the team’s future. Unreal.

  7. Ssstanimal

Fucking hell we are going to run it back I’m done

  8. WorldTwisting

They’re going to have trade OG if true

  9. labadee

rare to see loyalty in the NBA. i love you siakam

  10. Cheechers23

Yeah that’s Portland leaking that – Pascal didn’t give them a commitment.

Love to hear that from Pascal tbh. An All-NBA caliber player wants to stay in Toronto. For a team like ours that’s really nice to hear.

Dude wants a chance to get that All NBA supermax extension next year. Can’t get it if he gets traded.

  12. The_Living_L

if man wants to stay so bad he should take a big fat discount to stay ngl

  13. NervousAd3202

I love the loyalty from him but idk how to feel overall lol. I genuinely don’t think he can fit with Scottie.

  14. bwfivefive

that’s cool and all but like how does this team improve?

  15. chocthunde

Is it loyalty or wanting a chance at the supermax and/or not wanting to move to the opposite side of the continent right now?

  16. LemmingPractice

    I love to hear that.

This sub is nuts for wanting to push him out of the door. He’s a career Raptor, he hit the winning shot on our title run, and he could very well be the franchise GOAT by the time his next contract is done.

We’ve got a legitimate multi-time All-NBA star who wants to stay. That’s awesome, and we should be showing him love in this sub, instead of itching for the dopamine fix of a chance to take a roll at the mystery box of a teenage prospect who will probably never be as good as Pascal already is.

If Scottie can develop into a legitimate All-Star level player, you can absolutely build a contender around that wing duo.

Bro I love Pascal, just wanna do right by the man if it means staying here, getting him help, or sending him somewhere he wants to go

  18. WhatShouldTheHeartDo

We take for granted how fucking slim it is NBA players even want to be in Toronto

  19. Yumhotdogstock

I love Siakam, love the player he has become and his personality.

I will hate to see him succeed elsewhere, because I know the Raptors need to rebuild, and I trust leadership (if they are given the ability to do it) to do it right.

I never thought I would be a NBA / Raptor guy first after growing up here, but that’s where I am.

  20. Ylissian

It’s always dope when a star player wants to stick around. Respect to Pascal

  21. Gonnatapdatass

So many haters in here. Spicy P is a great player, loves the team and city/country, that’s loyalty right there. Dude is baller, I hope he sticks around and the FO retools a bit to help him out. Tanking won’t do shit, many teams tank for years and still suck for eternity.

  22. SideEffects96

Respectfully, unless you’re a superstar, this means nothing. The NBA is a business. Mediocrity for the next 4+ years aint it. Trades have to happen.

  23. jeRskier

You all are fucking nuts. 2-time all NBA player in his prime who wants to stay here and everyone’s ready to ship him out.

I get his rational: If he makes All NBA next year he can get a supermax. If he doesn’t, we get him back on a max contract which is still worth it. This is a good thing.

  24. NinfthWonder

This team isn’t going anywhere with Pascal as a number 1 option. Not much else to say about this.

  25. godhavemercyonme79

Well he’s got a ring so even if he wastes the next how many years here he’s still a champion.

  26. dub-fresh

Who’s starting these rumours we don’t want Pascal?

It’s possible to say that on the ne hand, he’s not Kawhi, but on the other hand he’s still a baller and we want him.

  27. Eld4nte

There’s a great chance Scottie is never as good as Pascal.
