Timeline of How the CLEVELAND CAVALIERS Lost LEBRON JAMES | The Decision | The Chosen One

After the team’s playoff appearance in 1998, however, the Cavs had six consecutive losing seasons with no playoff action. Cleveland was awarded with the top overall pick in the 2003 draft, and they selected LeBron James. Behind James and Zydrunas Ilgauskas, the Cavaliers again became a regular playoff contender by 2005. They made their first appearance in the NBA Finals in 2007 after winning the first Eastern Conference championship in franchise history. After failing to return to the NBA Finals in the ensuing three seasons, James joined the Miami Heat in 2010.

  1. Men phoenix also offered Amar'e for Hickson right? But Cavs management didn't want to give Hickson away imagine a fastbreak with bron and amare

  2. The fact he was even able to compete with this team not having no true second star (while they was playing with him) or a perennial all-star like player with superstar potential. Just shocks me he showed that he can perform with a not so great team and what he could do when he got teammates.
He won two times on one superteam(heat) And the two he had a good star partner and a solid supporting cast.

  3. Look at Jerry West! Can you imagine how much more credit he would get than he already does? The Grizzlies!?

  4. This is how exactly Luka is gonna end up no one helping him out because stupid mark Cuban don’t want to pay much mulch

  5. LeBron got the last laugh not only did he win 2 championships he returned and helped the team finally win after the cavs management put together a team that was great enough to support LeBron in the finals

  6. I'd argue that from the 06 season onward, they had the right types of players around LeBron to make some noise, which they always did. Obviously no one player was good enough to elevate that team to true title contention, but like I said, they had the right types of players

  7. Skip is the curse and virus that brainwashed bunch of casuals.

  8. 11:37

LeBron blocks a shot while 3 teammates wipe themselves out. The perfect example of Cleveland at the time

  9. Could been drafted amare in 2002, arenas in 2001, korver at mo williams at 2003 also, pay boozer well. Imagine a smashing front court of amare and boozer on fast pace up tempo with bron no one wont stop them

  10. Lebron the biggest choker in sports history, he failed Cleveland 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  11. Boozer didn't keep his word on resigning with the Cavs and signed with Jazz, had he stayed with LeBron, that would've been a powerful 1-2 punch.

Then in 2005 free agency they went hard after Joe Johnson who wanted to be the main guy on his own team, and then settled down on Larry Hughes who was a bad fit next to Lebron although he wanted Hughes specifically, they should've pushed harder for an Ohio native Michael Redd who actually wanted to come to Cleveland.
