Edit: just reeling from losing PBJ that just kinda felt like a guy punch. Excited for the rookies and I guess CP3 will be tolerated he brings a lot of potential stabilization to the bench unit

Might as well send Gui Santos to Washington too 🤷 – honestly the only piece that perplexes me is PBJ going in the deal. He can definitely shoot the ball, and much was made of him being a coach’s son which meant he had a “feel” for the game aka Warriors style basketball. He must have just been really bad in practice or something.

The TJD + Podziemski draft is an incredible haul. Two guys I had wanted the most for the dubs predraft along with Jaime. Still can’t process the CP3 trade though. If TJD hits I think he potentially solves a lot of our lineup issues

We also lost IMO our two most unique young talents in Poole and PBJ so yeah. There’s a massive onus now on Kuminga and Moody to take huge leaps forward in their game. Well of course assuming they don’t get traded tomorrow.

Poole’s trade value ended up being significantly worse than we all expected. It was a pretty hideous contract.
I like the Podz pick. High IQ, productive, really creative scorer. 43% from 3 is sick too.
TJD was a great value pick.
Getting older & smaller. I’m not a fan of the moves made so far.
It may not work out, but Trayce makes sense given the Warriors front court playoff issues.

Looks like Jackson Davis would be a good fit for CP3 2nd unit PnR. Sucks losing a potential floor spacer on offense in PBJ but interior presence is our woe on both ends of the floor.
The funny thing is we’ve gotten even smaller haha.
PBJ (1st round contract) being flipped for TJD (2nd round contract) gotta be a luxury tax shed money move cause no way in hell they just traded away a 1st rounder with a nice stroke with height and a good feel for the game. But from what little I know, I like TJD and hopefully he plays some meaningful minutes.

I’m sad about PBJ. He’s theoretically what we need but I guess they could wait to see if he would work out. It seems like it may be pretty hard to get a PF/C who can help space the floor on a vet min.

If Podz and TJD ball the fuck out from day 1, it’s a great draft. Hard to argue against their fit, both scream Warriors. Podz’s scoring, TJD with that size + playmaking. Guess we’ll see how summer league and FA go, along with pre-season.
CP3 + 57 for Poole, PBJ, Rollins, a top 20 protected 2030 1st, and a far off 2nd seems like a lot. Kinda hoping adding PBJ late gets them an extra future asset, but you’d think that’d be reported by now. Guess they valued dumping long-term salary and getting better team fits, just gotta hope it works (and that Paul stays healthy).
Exciting draft to say the least. Not in love with it, would have preferred moving down from 19 for whoever wanted Whitmore, but that could quickly change if Podz and TJD ball. Lot of people would have been fine with Jackson-Davis at 19, I didn’t see it, but at 57? Hell yeah, hard to complain (…outside of pretty much flipping PBJ for 57).
The fact this sub is upset about all this makes me think it’s a good idea.
Hopefully they are keeping Kuminga.
