This is a move a team makes when they want to tank for 2 straight years. If it works, they get 2 years of development for high talent on a rookie deal, coupled with the high draft picks from them being a bad team. If it doesn't, you gambled on a mid lottery pick and not a bad contract like previous administrations. At a minimum, it sounds like he can be a defensive sub who can cover mobile bigs and be a strong defensive match up for the wiz. Finally excited to be a Wiz fan again.
