Jaylen Clark showcased his two-way ability with a career-high 7 steals and a season-best 24 points during his junior season at UCLA. Clark won Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year last season and joined Russell Westbrook as the program’s only student-athlete to earn the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year honor. Clark was selected with the 53rd pick in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

hope he’s a minnesota legend🫡
Someone gimme a run down on this guy? I’ve heard he was a defensive player of the year?
Welcome to Minnesota! 🐺
Welcome to MN; a team desperate for a guard
His passing skills and vision ought to be commended too. But he's got alot of improvement to work on.

Dude has amazing hands, instincts, agility! He’s going to fit in perfect with the high motors of Edwards & McDaniels! Welcome to the wolf pack! 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Draft stock fell due to ending his junior year season early with an injured foot, requiring surgery but was on pace to be a BALLER.
Defensively- (wiki) – Clark averaged 2.6 steals per game during the season, which led the Pac-12 and ranked fourth in the nation.[15][26] One of the top defensive players in the country,[27] he won the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Award, and the National Association of Basketball Coaches named him their defensive player of the year.[15] Voted the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year,[26] he was selected again to the conference's all-defensive team, and was also named second-team All-Pac-12.[28] Clark significantly improved on offense and became UCLA's second-leading scorer.
LETS GOO!!!🙏Please be a starter-caliber player🙏
The Wolves need this guy to be good – our missing piece. If he played exactly like this in a Wolves uniform… 🔥 🔥 🔥
Lets pray his injury was only a minor setback. He's young with passion, hustle, and heart, all apparent by seeing his defense and driving ability which takes the most effort by guards.
another career tossed into the pit of despair known as minnesota.
Looks like a steal, literally. Wolves made a wise choice.
