Falling in the draft should humble him enough to understand how important those intangibles are to be successful in the league. Also good thing he’s in a competitive rotation where he’d have to earn his spot. If he gets through that, I’m not worried much about the knee cartilage especially if the emphasis is on the back end of his career.

Can anyone provide some color on the cartilage thing? What kind of cartilage issue would be a problem on the back end of a career? Like what Westbrook has?

Lol that line of thinking is ridiculous. Cam is an athletic freak who can slash and shoot. Even if he isn’t a good playmaker he’s easily a top 10 talent in any draft. I highly doubt GMs are that stupid
It’s def the medicals. And even though Houston is conservative with medicals it’s the 20th pick so who gives a fuck?

We will wrap him in the finest bubble wrap money can buy so he doesn’t wreck those knees when he catches lobs from Sengun and Amen

Medical science is making great strides in cartilage replacement treatments right now. And if you want cutting edge medical treatment Houston’s the place to be.

some say he had some disrespectful behaviours during some of his interviews. if that is the case he can be a locker room problem. But i dont think he could say much in locker room after he picked on 20.
i hope he got the wake up call and become a good piece of the team.

I agree about the wakeup call for Whitmore. I’m not concerned about his work ethic, but sliding in the draft should make him more open to the improvements he needs to make in his game. Honestly, it could be a great thing to happen for him (not to mention he gets to be on a very talented team).

Freakish athlete….with bad knees equals outta the league in 2-4 seasons or never reaching his potential and being impactful.
