Knicks is my hometown team and I actually loved KP as a Knick. I live in Texas and was excited when he came to the Mavs. He has the potential to STILL be that unicorn we seen. Never counted out KP and he’s finally healthy enough and on a great time to shine. (Mavs wasn’t enough imo maybe if he was on the current Mavs he’d have a great chance too)
I’m a Celtics fan and it is tough, but I do believe it is worth it because smarts value was likely going to go down as he gets older, and porzingis is the perfect fit to get them over the hump.
I fear for KP's health on the Celtics, I feel like he has potential. But, he has to REALLY put in the effort and take care of himself to be good, otherwise it'll be the same all over again regardless of which team he goes to.
As a Celtics fan the only way this trade is worth it is if we win a championship. We don't have a real vocal leader in the locker room anymore

Yes, Marcus Smart is a great player, but any true Celtics fan should admit that getting Porzingas in exchange is actually a pretty sweat deal. The only complaint is that I still think Boston could have negotiated a better package deal for Marcus Smart.

I am a older Celtics fan, I watched them on a UHF, but really a NBA fan. I Love Marcus, but am excited to see the next version of the C's. Personally I think the reason the Memphis trade went so quick is because Brad Stevens was already talking to them about Smart and Jones trade. And when things fell apart with the Clippers, Stevens changed plans quickly.
