NGL, after the clear path foul, I thought it was all over. Then everything went magical.

Marcus Smart saved our season that game.
It may have been his greatest game as a Celtic. He willed us stay alive into the 4th quarter. Did everything he could, as long as he could until Tatum finally arrived. Played a damn near flawless game.
That game was the best game of the season for me. Seeing Smart and Tatum do what they did, Brogdan and Al too, was just incredible.
Legitimately, Tatum’s standing as a player in the NBA started to shake through three quarters of that game. There was a close up shot of his face and he just looked completely lost. Then almost immediately became completely unstoppable.
But Marcus Smart kept us alive just long enough, made incredible passes, and defended out of his mind in the second half, ran the offense almost perfectly to keep the game in play. Philly thought they had it, and then the series was all but over by the end of it.
That game made the season worth it for me. That and the 3-0 comeback, which was essentially the same. It was right there on the table for them to give up, but they didn’t. They put themselves in a hole but gave everything they could to fight back out of it. Couldn’t quite get there in the end, but seeing that fight meant everything. I really hope we still have it now that Marcus is gone.

It’s especially good because sixers fan talk so much shit about tatum. I remember after we swept them the guys from that ricky sanchez podcast saying all he can do is take contested 3’s and someone in their sub saying if he didn’t play for boston everyone would just think hes tall trae young. Tbf we do the same to embiid but game six and seven was the perfect fu to them.
