They were both critical of him, but there were a few kernels of information and comparisons that I found illuminating: – Comparisons: Thybulle, Herb Jones, and early days on Nets Bruce Brown Jr.: They said he is further behind the first two on defense, but the Bruce Brown comp is fascinating. Having a 6’6″ version of Brown sounds very useful to me. – Shooting: They basically called his shooting non-existing, and might be right. I won’t delve much on the matter as this is something many players struggle with and others just get better at it very fast. We’ll see.
I found it weird that they didn’t mention much about his playmaking, cutting, and leadership. They did note that he could be useful if he went to a very good situation.
