If you’re still not buying into CP3, here’s Draymond speaking on what the second unit SHOULD be doing and it’s exactly what they failed to do last year. Chris Paul solves this exact problem. Starting 5 could build a lead all year, the Bench could never keep it.

Chris Paul has never come off the bench and played backseat to another all time great point guard, last year he played 32 mpg and was vital to the Suns offense.

He won’t be ask to do that with Steph on this team, his role will be reduced to play 20-22 minutes and lead the second unit.

People don’t get it, but Chris Paul + Improved Kuminga + other good pieces could make one of the best benches we have had in a while.

And that’ll all change with cp3 at the helm. Just hope he accepts not being a starter…

Yup DG hits it on the head. There may be no better player in the league primed to managing a 2nd unit coherently, deliberately and cleanly than Chris Paul.

The only thing cp3 is defending is his acting skills when he flops

What’s new about any of that. We all knew it. And the problem was the coaches substitution pattern and honestly your memories is really bad. They did not build leads all year. And then there was a period of time where the bench was doing their part but the starters weren’t. I’m cracking up at this revisionist history

Definitely true. The sdot/andre/dwest lineup starting 2nd and 4th quarters were a grinding pace during the golden years.

  7. Dang it, the more I wanted Draymond gone, he comes out and makes sense, and now I want him to stay. Damn you, Dray 😂

  8. People have short term memories in here. Too much revisionism going on. Except for the first 5-10 games at the start of the season, starters weren’t building any leads for the bench to squander. Starters got us in huge holes from the get go and were mostly always looking to climb back up.

People in this sub need to go revisit last season’s games to refresh their memories.
