Tanking Jazz’s 1st round pick?

Info taken from Dane Moore 6/16/23. New CBA starts July 1st. So if we purposely exceed the Apron twice in a row (seasons 23/24 and 24/25), would we be tanking the Jazz pick they get down to pick 30 in 24/25?

I’m not sure we still would do this given the other penalties. But I am wondering if this would be a brilliant way to tank the pick.

It happens if a team is 2 years in a row above the apron, meaning it can happen only at the end of 25-26 season. The pick that will be moved to 30th is 2033 (it literally says 7 years into the future), Wolves do not own this pick to Utah.

No, the pick that goes to the end of the first round is the one 7 years out (so 2030).

First it gets frozen. Then it slides to last. It’s impossible to move the pick before since you’re unable to trade picks that far out.

Doesn’t really matter the NBA draft is a crapshoot after like pick 20 anyways.

But don’t get to carried away because we still have first round picks like next draft we have our pick still.
