Nikola Jokic, 5x All Star, 5x All MNA Member, 2x MVP, and now added to his resume, a 1x NBA Champion with a Finals MVP added to his belt. Throughout his journey in the NBA all he has received is critiques and doubt from NBA Fans and the media alike due to his unconventional game that doesn’t fit the modern day NBA style and his non athletic or imposing build on the court. But after winning the Larry O’brien trophy and taking the Finals MVP in one of the most dominant fashions we’ve ever seen by a player in the finals. I think it’s time to talk about Nikola Jokic’s entire 2023 NBA season, talk about the narratives that was thrown at him, talk about the achievements he earned, and most importantly, show how he proved the entire NBA world wrong about him not being a top 5 player, a championship level leader, and even not being the best center in the NBA! From dealing with the injuries to Jamal Murray and Micheal Porter Jr. Having the entire NBA world say that Joel Embiid is better than him, and being the underdog in almost every series like the Phoenix Suns with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, and the Los Angeles Lakers with Anthony Davis and Lebron James. This is how Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets proved the NBA Wrong!

  1. funny how despite jokic being doubted because of his defence, he was the only mvp finalist who didnt have a major weakness that was exploited in these playoffs

  2. Kendrick Perkins is already talking nonsense on why the Nuggets have no chance of repeating, it's still ridiculous.

  3. Me and my brother have been sayin since Christmas that Denver should be the favorites to win the title but media wanted pheonix and golden state to be in the finals

  4. Not taking in to account that nothing you were talking about matched up close to what the video was showing, but you dropped the ball on the historic Jokic/Murray 30/20/10 triple double comment. It wasn't that it hadn't happened in the playoffs, or the finals. It has never happened in the history of the sport. Thumbs down for long winded lazy commentary.

  5. I think its about time Kendrick Perkins and Nick Wrong starts considering career change.

  6. I'm sorry to say this but with the way the game has evolved so far and is evolving. Nobody in 20 years from now is going to look at Nash and come to the conclusion that he didn't deserve those MVPs. The game is valuing spacing and passing way more than isolations scoring, you literally have to take the offensive load of MJ during the 80s and be as efficient as he was in the 90s over your whole career if you even want to make it to the finals primarily as a scoring guard in the 2020s. People in 10 years aren't going to notice how "nice" Kobe scoring was, they are going to notice how he kept missing open layup passes 4 different times when average passers in the 2033 NBA are making them. Optimizing offensive load by supplementing passing or ball movement, in general, is the way of the future for NBA offenses. Unless we get a scorer, better than MJ and almost Hakeem levels of defense.

  7. Stephen A "Worst take"

    Skip Baisless "Disputed"

    Nick Wrong "Worst Things First"

    Big P(J)erk

  8. Didn’t prove me wrong. I was never really a nuggets fan just a realist. I predicted all of this last year. Got the receipts too.

  9. These are the same people who are always lecturing "diversity". I'm all for diversity but hypocrits all? You dont be get lecture me. You don't get to lecture anyone. Also is it just me or are you tired of Steven A Smith using the "brother" desription?

  10. As a Nuggz fan for over 40 years, I've been soaking in the media and social media commentary on winning this chip, and I give you props for creating the best retrospective! Have saved this one and will relish for many years to come… many, many thanks, my man!

Of all the highlights watched… only critique with this phenom are two:

one: should've taken shots team mate passed to him, an assist from t'mate.

two: be more dominating, like dunk it, like Joel, fans love that, it's exciting.

But, it's TRUE that's not his game,,, soft touches & passes is his game.
