Knowing Morey he’d want the moon from a third team but I’d definitely try in Cronin’s position. If we can get Ayton for Ant+Nas+2nds that would be pretty legit. Him and Maxey don’t make the most sense together but he does help fill the Harden void a little I suppose.
Ayton’s contract sucks, but if we could get Washington to take on Nurks deal for example, it wouldn’t be the worst thing. Provides Dame a much more compelling reason to stick around. I think the odds of us getting even a remotely competent starting wing in an Ant trade are low without freeing up our future picks so Ayton would probably be the absolute upper limit of talent we could manage.
Ayton or Allen would be an upgrade 👍
And just let Ayton focus on D, rebounding, and supplemental scoring as 3rd/4th option.

Oooooh boy…c’mon people let’s just pump the brakes here a little. I mean, Ayton could be a decent fit…BUT his contract is horrible .
I would love to move on from Nurk (as many others would), but realistically, at least he’s only worth ~$18m for the next 3 seasons. Ayton gets almost double that, for little additional upside.
Unfortunately I just don’t see anyone lining up to trade for Nurk. We may be stuck with him. And anyway….I think our biggest priority is a forward / wing that can defend and rebound.

There’s nearly no situation where this would be beneficial, relative to what we have, for the Sixers. We aren’t cut out to be the third team here.
