  1. business and STRaTEGY is part of trades.
1.they already have d white (a better version of smart)
2.they need to upgrade their bigs (horford is old,rob is always injured, grant situation is uncertain)
3.memphis also needs smart as morant is suspended
it is good for both teams
so let us no too emotional about this,I believe smart knows that Tatum is the only one who is untouchable
    good job brad

  2. Something that never gets talked about in this deal is that Clippers pulling out at the 11th hour is quintessential Clippers. Don't count on any of the teams involved to include you in trades again any time soon. Good luck, LA Clippers

  3. Maxell is pro Smart wow move on we cannot win with point guard Smart he keep shooting bricks in tje 3 pts cause he always open by yhe opposing team instead of passing he keeps on shooting

  4. Now we should give trading for Fred Vanvleet a shot. He's like a Marcus Smart where he plays defense and isn't a great shooter. But he won a ring and will understand that his job will be to make plays for Tatum and Brown. We lost some toughness for talent. We need to get some of that toughness back to win the championship. I'd give Grant Williams and Malcolm Brogdon for Fred van Fleet. It sounds crazy but unfortunately, Smart got traded because of brogdens injury in the playoffs. So it was makes sense to add grant to deal.

  5. I know it's a business but I can't help the feeling of disloyalty towards Marcus. He has been the heart and soul of this team and he busted his ass for us every game. Is it potentially a good move? Maybe, maybe not. 100% agree we needed a big

  6. Let's be honest re: what Josue said: getting a BETTER return? MARCUS SMART NEVER MADE AN ALL-STAR team; Porzingis was close to All-NBA level performance last season. Smart is a GUARD; KP a forward/center. End of discussion. Intangibles matter, yes; but let's not get carried away here. I remember people who couldn't get over losing Trot Nixon for years too….

Here's the thing: the RETURN the C's got already compensates for Smart's "intangibles." Compare it (the picks) to the projected return for the failed Brogdon trade. And just one year ago, half of Celtics Nation was gaga over Brogdon possibly REPLACING Smart as a starter.

  7. C'mon Josue–a sack of 2nd rounders? Even dopes like me already know that 2nd rounders are the future currency. Assets are assets. There IS NO such thing as nothing, esp. for Brad Stevens.

  8. Brad Stevens CLEARLY makes decisions that he believes are the best basketball ones. The man is NOT just "cold." The fact he does care as much as he does but did it ANYWAY, means he had extremely high conviction. And, oh yeah, he might know more about basketball than any of us.

  9. Smart was a turnover machine. Every time he took a shot it was a turnover. He needs to be on the bench and thats it.

  10. I will admit, I have questions about how the Celtics are going to run their offense. That Marcus was miscast (most of his career) and not allowed to be a PG isn't contestable. And the C's looked GREAT when he was doing so, early in the season. Neither White nor Brogdon are quite those guys either, so it will be interesting to see. Yes, I'm sure Mazzulla has a plan, but….

  11. “They were an ankle away from being in the finals” is the truest statement….realize this guy PLAYED BALL…..Joe sway and all these other peeps are wishy washy as fuck… THEY NEVER PLAYED THE GAME!!!!! Great trade. Gotta move on. Shout out Brad. John Joe sway and all these other white boys aint fucking valid my nigga.

  12. I thought maybe Chris Paul or Brad might be setting up to get Damian Lilliard!! Look at the assets that was built up!! I’ll let White, Brogdon and the trade picks go for Lillard. That would be a awesome team!!!

  13. I don't believe Brad truly wanted to trade Marcus…but he had no choice since Utah could have tried to sign him outright. Big sacrifice, but it could be worth it in the long run…

  14. The more I think about this trade, the better it looks. Marcus played his a^s off and is an all time Celtic, but isn't that good a player. There was also the weird team dynamic where the 4th of 5th best player was the team leader which really isn't a tenable situation.

  15. Porzingis brings in MORE injury concerns Fragility and MORE SOFTNESS, reality is in the description of his game he’s a 7” 3 point shooter with major health concerns like yearly health issues aside from last year Porzingis gets hurt every season… Played 65 games last year for the first time since who knows when… Unreal how uncertain this weak roster is… Brad always has WEAK players on his radar… Now we have 3 Brittle players at the Same position and we’re still stuck with Broken Brogdon who can’t stay healthy even with protection coming off the bench… Worthless…!!!!🗑️🗑️🚮🗑️🗑️🗑️🚮🚮🏥🏥🏥🏥🏥🏥

  16. (Khris_Po) gat sum Majoh Sneakers 👟 to fill being traded to the Celtics @ the Sacrifice of Mahcus 😒Pozi better bring his A Game to the Court or Else 🤨

  17. I think that Al needs to start coming off the bench now bc he’s older and it will help him stay fresh for the playoffs and if Rob is going to be healthy he should be starting over Al
