This is a silly argument when they traded cp3 and shamet. You didn't lose depth, shamet su ked and cp3 is more injury prone than Beal and Durant. They were already 2nd apron.
If you think about the BPA argument, sometimes for you the best player isn't the best for you. You gotta find a guy that fits and can develop with your team. If you take….say amen is available. For the pistons he's not the best available because he will not be playing to his strengths but for another team he is best. So at 5 you knid of have to look at fit and at who is best for you.
Also I'm not sure if we're in a position to take a player solely based on upside.
Cp3 bout to be waived and get picked up by the sun's lol. Also I'm sure you know by now Beal is bringing Goodwin and some others with him to the sun's. They're still gonna have depth.

Fans need to be patient with Whitmore if he's the pick. He 's 18 and he isn't this perfect fit. He needs some time, maybe even some g-league time. Same for Ausar, who has a better overall skillset but might play himself out of the court because of lacking of shooting. He's older though, we have to expect faster returns from him
Trading back to 9 is an awful idea.
Either way Troy said hes swinging for the fences. Hes not drafting fit.
Theres not 5 guys that are possible at 5. Its probably between the 2 below.
