I am Happy that the Denver Nuggets won their First NBA Championship. I’m a Washington Wizards fan and the last time my team won the NBA Finals was in 1978 when we were the Bullets playing against the Seattle SuperSonics. From the late-1960 through till the end of the 1970s the Bullets were one of the most dominant teams with in the NBA at that time making it to NBA Finals 4 times in 1971,1975, wining in 1978 and 1979. During this era the Bullets had Hall of Famers like, Shooting Forward, Bob Dandridge, Power Forward, Elvin Hayes, Shooting Guard, Phil Chenier and Center, Wes Unseld. Wes Unseld was the Washington Bullets 1978 Finals MVP and his son Wes Unseld Jr is the current Wizard’s Head Coach. 1978 Bullets Head Coach Dick Motta also coined the popular Phrase “it ain’t over until the Fat Lady Sings”. In the Words of Legendary NBA Head Coach Dick Motta who said it during the Washington Bullets’ victory over the Seattle SuperSonics during the 1978 NBA Finals to our current 2023 NBA Champs the Denver Nuggets the Fat Lady is Singing in the MIle High City 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I wanted Jimmy to win soooo bad. But honestly I'm surprised the Heat won a game. The Nuggets roster was better, they have a great coach, and Jokic and Murray are big moment players.

I’ve been watching the NBA finals for almost 50 years. This one is so different. I’m from NY and have never been a Denver fan but Jokic and Murray have captured my attention since 2020. I was so down when Murray got hurt. That totally stunk. So, this win and this one-of-a-kind player in Jokic made me SO HAPPY to see them win the whole thing. I’ve been watching the playoff highlights of this team for 5 days now.
You add Aaron Gordon, Brucie B., uncle Jeff and DJ to the mix, and it’s one of the best stories in sports.
I hope they get another next year and the year after.

Bruce Brown holding the MVP trophy and looking for Jokic while they line up for the official picture had my family doubled over in laughter because it was so typical. Jokic is in the back of the crowd with his wife and family so in the group shot he is in the last row on the left, behind the staff, with his daughter on his shoulders. In every other trophy award team picture the MVP is front and center as all the other MVPs, many holding both trophies. Lol. The man’s humble nature is the Nuggets secret sauce, it is why everyone else plays their roll so damn hard.
Its good to see Brandon so happy after being tortured by the bronco's this season.
I only pay attention to football and hockey, I had no idea this happened… Congrats! Starting to think with the last two years of victories, you should cover a whole lot more outside of the NFL. I'd love to see some Avs coverage
