The problem was the nonproductive bench (no depth) and the defense. After the Beal trade, we still have the same issues because we didn't solve those and now we don't have the salary margin to get a good defensive role player. The only way to complete the roster with "good" players is trading Deandre Ayton, but you are not gonna do that so we are in the same situation as last season. That's why I am concerned, this team is not ready. I think that the plan is to revalue and trade him later but idk.
We hope coach Vogel could help DA to reach the potential all-star level that he has, and yeah we need to be optimistic that the new players will produce for the team, especially the guard Goodwin.

I wouldn't trade Payne for Harris, the most overpaid player in the league. Let Vogel have a run with Ayton and I think he can unlock something because Williams was the worst kinda coach for him and as it turns out Smith and Crowder among others. Vogel is a huge upgrade so I trust in Vogel. I do think the cry for depth is not as necessary when you look at the 21 Nets, they weren't deep and only injuries kept them from rolling through the eventual champion Bucks and Hawks and then rolling through us, all you need is to find our Green, Brown who hadn't yet emerged and Griffin

I agree with giving Vogel a shot with Ayton for at least half the season before wiping their hands of him. I think Vogel is looking at this like a match made in heaven.
As bad as I would love to move Ayton for a few solid players, I would HATE HATE HATEEEE trading Ayton for Tobias Harris. We can't wash this season just to have cap flexibility a year from now. The time to win is NOW and Tobias has ZERO fit in Phoenix. Ayton is such a better fit on this roster than a guy like Tobias Harris.
I just think DA shouldn’t be rewarded for acting like a child and quitting on his team. This guy doesn’t have that it factor. Get him out for pieces that will actually help Booker. I wonder if Booker has gone behind the scenes and told anything to management.
