don’t hate giving up dinwiddie and harris, don’t hate the picks bc we keep the Dallas 1st and the 2 highest upside PHX picks (27 and 29), hate that we’d give up a rookie.. ultimately it feels like a slight overpay and i think that’s the problem with any Dame trade and why i’d lean towards being mid for a year and saving all our assets to go in on someone younger next off-season (or even this year at the deadline)
also seeing that Whitehead was projected top 10 in basically every way-too-early mock from last summer/fall makes me really excited to see him play and I wouldn’t want to risk giving him up if there’s a chance he can return to the form he showed in HS.
Zero chance the Blazers accept this.
Why is no winning by that much? If I was the blazers I’d rather take fucking Herro rather than this. Dude came from a 32 ppg season and people are expecting Spence and the worst of our picks to be sufficient.
I really don’t get it, trading bridges for 3rd and Simmons was a no-no in this sub. Trading for a superstar without affecting our core is also a no no according to this sub. So the 3rd option should be to proceed as we are and hope for a play in spot?
Dame’s market is incredibly small, his contract is going to be ridiculous here soon (60mill+ at age 35) and all Brooklyn has to do is beat Miami’s offer. He will be asking for a trade sooner than later, Portland would be insane to not choose a youth movement at this point.
Done. Yesterday.
If Dame can’t be had for Spencer, Joe Harris, one of the Rookies and The Suns 2025 & 2027 pick then I don’t want him.
The Heat can only trade 2 1st, All we need to do is trade 1 more pick, anything more is an overpay IMO and I hope he’s traded to Miami.
Dame doesnt make us a title contender. Another move is needed.
Would be hard to let go of those picks for such a huge contract and so few big years left. I would psyched to have dame but giving it all up is stressful too
Portland doesn’t accept this, and neither should Brooklyn.
Also, I’m biased because I do not prefer Lillard over DeJounte.
