  1. They also free up 5M in drop from salaries of Bertrans(17m) to salary of Holmes(12m) which gives them just about the full 12M MLE number. Should land a 5-7th man at that price range. Possibly Grant Williams.

  2. Turns out ATL wanted Green AND Hardy for Capela. Love that we didn’t do that and went for some young guys to build with instead.

  3. If they don't sign Kyrie, I hope they can find ways to trade him. For example, trade him to the Lakers for Hachimura, Vando, and Beasly. This will be solid addition to the Mavs. All they need to do is to move Jaden Hardy to starter alongside with Luka and Hachimura will fill the role of 3rd scorer option for them. For ball handler in the 2nd unit, I also think Josh Green is fit to this role. I noticed last year that he is more effective when he is the primary ball handler. He can make play and can create his shots too.

Starting line up without Kyrie Scenario

    Luka
    Hardy/Josh Green
    Rui Hachimura
    Vando
    Holmes/Lively

    Bench
    THJ (can be traded)
    Beasly
    OMax
    Kleber
    Bullock
    Lawson
    Miles Jr
    Jelly

Additionally these players are for me is the best if they manage to sign one or 2 of them.

Bruce brown, Alec Burks, Jalen Mcdaniels, Kuz

  4. Take care of Richuan Holmes, he is a great guy and still has a lot of juice left. He will fit well in the Mavs system. Wish him much success in his new city.

  5. On paper it looks good. REAL good. But paper ain't doing the playing. Rookies are are usually nothing to write home about in their 1st year in the NBA. Holmes, because he is a veteran. Should be to make an impact immediately. The problem for Dallas is will Luka get out of the way so Kyrie can push up the ball and distribute it to function as a team. Or will he demand to bring the ball up to get his assists and have to the option to shoot for his own stat line

  6. Omax is not a score first, he is a defensive first player, that’s like his favorite thing to do.

  7. Mavs will for the shady tanking move….will lose Luka after another disappointing season. Karma is a MF

  8. Don't want to hear no "Mavs won the Draft" bs. The previous two times that was said. Ya had egg frying thru the face and directly on the brain. One was a long time ago(3 picks in top 21) and none of them could play a lick. The other was a very short time ago. So not only did ya say something stupid, But too stupid to remember that you did and now you doubling down on it.

All this is a wait and see. Now go do videos on Players who became NBA Busts. You will have enough of those to do to keep ya busy for a year.

  9. As a Mavs fan, I loved the moves. I was high on Lively and I have been eyeing Holmes for a couple of years. I think he would have been our best center last year. I do think we need to move on from Powell. I also think that with 2 defensive centers that keeping Wood wouldn't be terrible. I think he is a better help defender, not a lead dog.

  10. Dwight Powell? Are you kidding me? Lively is already an upgrade over that waste of space. Powell and Bullock both need to be traded for an extra piece we can actually use

  11. Very nice to hear some optimistic sounds for the Mavs. In theory, they should already have been okay last season, but it was way too short time and too shaken up a roster to really compete at the level you'd expect them to. With all these extra potential guys, as long as they can hit open 3's and defend it is already a good roster. So far they have far more to offer than just that though. With Green making a leap last year and Hardy already being a natural scorer, I think they have more than enough assets to go for a great season.

  12. bad draft, worse one In the league. two players who cant create their own shot, and a center in the lottery when Jarret Allen went #22 and Mitchell Robinson went 36th. Dallas will miss playoffs again and Luka will request a trade

  13. This upcoming season I’m excited about the center position I feel like if the mavericks can’t find a starting caliber center thru trade/free agent they will go with who ever gets hot down the stretch if Powell signs with the mavs then most likely Powell will start the season as the starting C again. While the rest of the C start learning Kidds system. I would love to DL2 to hit the ground running and just take over the C position but that’s going to take time. I like Holmes too but he reminds be of a little more athletic version of Powell.
