Again guys I have moved on from the Marcus trade I’m excited for the addition of KP just praying he can stay healthy
Brad had no choice after that blow out in game 7 of the ECF he needed rim protection from a young Big man with smart gone (good luck in Memphis) Derrick will start all 82 and his stats will improve good luck to him next year he’s a great ball handler has great IQ and defense kudos to Poppivich for showing him how to do things the right way in San Antonio before he came to Boston. People need to understand if we don’t trade Smart for Porziņģis
then we are going to continue to loose in the 1st round 2nd round or the conference finals in the playoffs to Miami or Milwaukee.
Also, with the new assistant head coaches, hopefully they can strengthen Mazzulla next season I believe Charles Lee will do a very good job just like he did in Milwaukee

Do you like the Celtics current guard rotation with Pritchard as our 3rd PG? Or do you think the Celtics should invest in another back up point guard like a Monte Morris from Washington and trade PP?
White is going nowhere unless they get a serious godfather offer, and Brogdon is probably going nowhere because teams don't want to trade for his injury and because they would have to get a guard back in that deal, which just doesn't make a lot of sense.
Love the show! Still hard to believe Marcus isn’t going to be on the team. One of my favorite Celtics of all time.
I think one thing is clear – Brad is moving away from switch heavy roster construction which devalues Grant (and maybe even Smart) as Al & KP thrive in drop and nobody really defends out of their position especially White & Brogdon
I have doubts about Brogdon's durability – 67 games/26 mpg he played last season was the most games he played since his rookie season. He played like 35 and 54 games at Indy the previous two seasons. The Celtics had him sit out anytime there was a sprain, sore this, sore that, etc. and tried to preserve him. And he got hurt pretty bad in the playoffs. Can he give them 70 games at 30 mpg as their 2nd pointguard next season? DOUBT it. So then Pritchard's role expands – is that what Joe Mazzulla wants and ready to go with? So due to Brogdon's fragility I'd assume Pritchard plays a lot…or they get another PG.

Giving a supermax to a guy who, after 7 seasons, has a BAD handle, does not pass or make plays, is a very average 3-point shooter, and below average free throw shooter, is very questionable. Especially since he and Tatum are not complimentary to each other. The team needs to really weigh trading JB for a good/all star pointguard, which will improve playmaking. A good PG, Porzingis, and Tatum is a nice combination. JB next to Porzingis is going to be no better than JB playing with Tatum.
In my opinion, Payton Prichard will greatly benefit from the Sam Cassell hire and have his best season for the Celtics. Sam has worked well in mentoring good point guards: John Wall (Wizards 2009-2014), CP3 (Clippers 2014-2020) Ben Simmons and Tyrese Maxey (Sixers 2020-2023). I have confidence Payton will have a breakout season and will be a dawg on both ends of the court coming off the bench.
I’m getting a little sad realizing Porzingis is going to minimize Rob. No Smart and less Rob? It makes me want to use the ceremonial screaming pillow.
KP on his a game is a perfect fit for what this offense lacks
This KP trade is going to get Brad fired next off-season, and folks are going to remember that Brad was just a coach and a coach they wanted fired 2 seasons ago when C’s got embarrassed by the Nets; but instead of being fired was just given the GM job with ZERO EXPERIENCE OR EXPERTISE
I tried learning Eurostep in my 40's. LOL I got it down pretty good but it was too hard on my knees to continue for long

Porzingus isint the third option. Jalen brown is trash so he immediately passes him and when we get to playoff time Tatum melts down right next to brown so as crazy as this sounds to say in the playoffs in the biggest games he's the #1 option? I guess so

I still think there’s a chance Jaylen gets traded albeit not likely. I think Brogdon, PP and Grant are gone.
But where’s the defense going to come from? Praying the Celts don’t become a shoot it out every night team. We all know how that worked out for them last season. They lived by the three and died many painful, unwatchable times by it. I’m excited especially for KP but if it diminishes Rob’s time on the floor I’ll be unhappy. roster reset after all of that: 11/14 roster spots filled, 2/3 2W filled.
pg: white (starter), brogdon (backup), JD (garbage time), new vet min pg (insurance)
wings: jt and jb (starters), hauser and new 3ND wing (backups, 3ND wing acquired via trade or 5M TPMLE), walsh (garbage time), new vet min wing (insurance)
bigs: kp and rob (starters), al and new big (backups, big acquired via trade or 5M TPMLE), blake and kornet (bus 1 boys insurance), new developmental big signed to 2W like Aleksander Balcerowski or resigning kabengele (maine)
