Jalen Pickett has a unique style of playmaking that could be perfect for the Denver Nuggets

Jalen Pickett has a lot of similarities with Nikola Jokic. They both play at their own pace and nobody can speed them up. They both have skillsets that are hidden behind a lumbering, awkward, yet somehow also graceful way of moving around on the court. And both of their talents pop the more that you watch them.

In this breakdown, I share some of the things that I find impressive about Pickett’s game, compare and contrast him with Jokic, and highlight his skill set and tendencies.

  1. Jokic's playstyle in Jamal's body. Plays bigger than his size. Always under control, too, like Monte. I can see him as THE backup PG midseason. Excited to see him constantly feed MPJ in the non-Jokic minutes and develop a 2-man game.
