Just like my controversial takes on Poole all season, I think this take will also be vindicated within a year: Mike Dunleavy has done one hell of a job and made shrewd moves that give us a ton of options, improving our weaknesses and contending chances, and massive salary cap implications.
cognitive dissonance won out for me. I joked that my views on CP0 rings had changed right after the trade was made, but now I want CP3 to redeem himself and win us a 5th chip and believe in him. He will bring excellent synergy with Draymond Green in terms of dawg/36
last quick take: we are winning ring #5 in 2024, our Core still gets the job done but we need defense/playmaking/rebounding/stretch 4 that can shoot. Moody and Kuminga growth is expected and important, but CP3 plugs a ton of holes.
