What’s especially weird to me about this, is people act like there’s an entire conspiracy to hide this beef and people are afraid to just come out and say “Carmelo didn’t like Jeremy Lin/the two didn’t get along.” As if there’s some precedent where NBA beefs between teammates are hidden. Howard Beck and Ian Begley (I believe) directly reported that at the end of Chandler’s time in NY he and Carmelo, personally, did not get along. No one has *any issue* reporting plainly that Carmelo and George Karl and Mike D’Antoni clearly despised each other. Kevin Seraphin came out an plainly stated he did not like Carmelo while he was on the Knicks. But we’re acting like for some reason, the one beef people have been asking about for over 10 years is shrouded in secrecy.

Idk what went on behind the scenes, but it’s clear that Melo didn’t like Lin or MDA after that season. Melo didn’t want Lin or MDA back and the team adhered to his wants.
