The Charlotte Hornets used the 2nd overall pick on Alabama wing Brandon Miller. Now if you’ve been subscribed to the channel for a while now. You know my stance on what the Hornets should’ve done at pick 2 in this draft. I thought they should’ve taken Scoot Henderson. But the reality is that Brandon Miller is now a Hornet. He was the second overall pick, it’s what happened, regardless of if you and I liked it or not. And it’s not a pick that I think is the end of the world. Even if I disagree with it (which I do), Miller is a really good prospect in his own right. And I do think he fits well with this Hornets team.

On a team with the second lowest 3 point % that already has an all star level pg, drafting a pg that can’t shoot over a 6”9 shooter with athleticism is stupid. We made the right choice man
Hornets were missing thier 2nd leading scorer last year with Miles and melo had injuries. Also last year almost every team was tanking last year.
Scoot played 2 years in the G league, with his 1st year shooting 19% from 3. He also never took his team to the playoffs, had 3.5 TO's a game and was average compare to his peers in the G league. Miller took the 21st rank team to become the #1 team in the country.
I wanted Scoot but honestly Miller is not a bad pick especially with the Hornets roster and system of play, Henderson will be neutralized in Charlotte let alone come off the bench in Charlotte because they value experience not potential. Exhibit A Lamelo Ball
The addition of Nick Smith Jr along with Miller makes this hornets team’s future extremely interesting
I think ppl are missing the point with this team. They are not as bad as their record indicates. 2 years ago they finished 42-40 and lost in the playin. They had as bright a future as you could hope for a team that was in purgatory for so long, and the next year everything went to shit. Miles Bridges got in legal trouble, LaMelo Ball sprained his ankle 3 separate times, Rozier, Hayward, and Oubre all got hurt throughout the year. This team sucked because of injuries not because the roster is bad. And the fact is the odds of a 6’2” PG can’t can’t shoot in scoot impacting winning more than a 6’9” wing that can do everything is so incredibly small. Scoot couldn’t even impact winning in the Gleague. Miller made Alabama relevant in College basketball. In my mind this pick isn’t even difficult. Sure scoot may be the more popular player and end up in sportscenter as the bigger star, but that doesn’t mean anything. Ja Morant is a bigger star than Jayson Tatum. There’s not a soul in the nba that thinks Ja is a better player.
At least you admit you can be wrong about this. Just like I could be wrong about Miller being better than Scoot. But, too many people get on the definitive bandwagon
They kept saying fit, but Melo played next to Lonzo… it would've been a great fit
If he works on his handles and shot creation abilities it for sure wouldn’t matter who went where I don’t think anyone would be able too guard him then cuz he’s already a really good off ball player
They should trade Terry for a 3 n D sf or pf and put Miller at shooting gurad
