Indiana Pacers – Jarace Walker leads four player class! IU Basketball’s JHS to Lakers; TJD Warriors!

Jarace Walker can play – and sooner rather than later – after the Pacers take him eighth overall.
Two of other three selections have a chance, but one from the G-League is a project.
Indiana places two in the Draft – Jalen Hood-Schifino goes 17th to the Lakers, and Trayce Jackson-Davis #57 to the Warriors.

  1. I think TJD could b the future replacement pick for Draymond. Both second round picks. Great on defense

  2. I love the first pick for the Pacers but I thought we should have move up and get Cam Whitmore once he start to fall down the draft by using our draft capital,

  3. Everything you just described about Pacers needs is what TJD is and they passed on him 4 times?

  4. Pacers got an undersized power forward with little skill. He has a strong physical body who will help rebound and set screens. At best he will come off the bench and develop into a solid vet who's good in the locker room and will never command a max deal.

  5. So the kid from Indiana is going to go learn how to be a professional victim from LeBron. James gotcha lol

  6. Can you speak about the weird way that NBA deals with draft pick trades? Why did TJD get picked by the Wizards when Warriors owned the rights to the pick? I hate how NBA does it.

  7. So 😂 is that Anthony Richardson drafted by the Pacers??😂😂 your thumbnail pic! Lol

  8. Thanks for making me feel better, I was bit mad last night 😆 Love seeing TJD going to GS. A great place for him and he could very well turn in to the next Draymond.

  10. But as always pacers get great players bit cant pay them to stay. Sucks bieng a small markwt team,to have any long term success. Have to rebuild every 5 years.

  11. Just curious…. what does Walker bring to the Pacers that TJD couldn't? More physical maybe but what else. He's not a shooter so he definitely isn't a better scorer. I'm not saying we should have taken TJD at 7 but I'm just curious of a side by side comparison. I just don't see the 7 to 57th difference. Plus he is the kid of a favorite past time Pacer.

  12. Long time viewier, first time commenter,
I'd rather hear your creativity to you in the third person than guarantees, had to back track couple times this week but..I don't make the connection..
Gangsta paradise..brown co raceway end of the month..looks like fun..like a regatta in madison…have a great weekend!

  13. The common consensus is that the Pacers draft was a B. Not bad, could have been worse. I'm glad Trayce didn't feel the Pacers were the best fit (and his handlers) because I think the Pacers would have put him in Westfield. Warriors, great fit. He WILL score around the hoop, you can't stop a rebel-force.

  14. Can you shed light on why Washington would trade when the Pacers seemingly would have taken Walker at 7 and they (the Wizards) could have just taken Bilal at 8?

  15. Oh ffs…. Pacers draft pick equated to Richardson. You knew it was stupid when you said it, but said it anyway. Shameful.

  16. I tried to watch the draft last night and got so frustrated I turned it off. It's nothing new, but the hosts (including Stephen A. Smith) got off on tangents about players and just talked through some of the picks (including the Pacers). We don't get ESPN now, but not sure it would have been any better. I did pick up your comments on YouTube. Thanks for what you do, Kent!

  17. Walker does not seem like a poor man Zion at all. Maybe a poor man’s Charles Oakley? Paul Milsap? Ben Wallace?

I was leaning Hendricks, but I like the pick.

  18. I think gs was definitely thinking of dreymond green leaving no problems we will draft TJD to replace em almost same style players

  19. I always have hated the Lakers so this puts me in a spot…once Lebron retires I can tolerate them better.
Also agree that TJD landed in a perfect place.

  20. All this offseason talk from the front office about "options" and "being aggressive" with the cap space and the picks. They didn't make any serious moves last night. The Walker pick is fantastic, but turning the other picks into more logjam at the 2/small wing is curious. This is the last year before the Tyrese extension will kick in. If KP doesn't have other moves lined up to add some NBA-level forwards, this offseason is going to feel like a missed opportunity.

  21. Yes you did say all those things, but you have also said drafting number 7 is a curse… You were correct on everything you said except that… You would rather have they number 8 pick then the number 7… You realize Steph Curry was drafted number 7 overall right? They best player drafted at number 8 was Robert Parrish and they best player drafted at number 8 in recent years was was Jamal Crawford… So which pick is more of a curse because your wrong on that topic
